“Great stay in the heart of Stockholm.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Me and my wife stayed for 3 nights in August. Arrived at 3 pm,the reception staff were really helpful and polite and we were given room 358. The room was lovely and I recommend it, especially if you´re on a romatic getaway. There´s a beautiful big bed with four pillows and two duvets, a small couch and a desk with a chair. The bahtroom is actually in the room separated by a curtain, so this means almost no privacy when taking a shower but this was not a problem for us. You have both a freestanding bathtub and a shower and the details are lovelly. There´s a safe in the closet and a small empty fridge that you can use. There is free wifi for all your devices and it worked without any problems. Generous breakfast buffe is served next to the reception and this is a great start to your day, but the area is really cramped and to small for the number of people eating in the mornings. The location is great, a 20 minute walk from the central station (or 5 minutes by bus), close by are many restaurants and shops. All in all a great stay in a beautiful city.

Room Tip: Room 358 is really lovelly if you´re a couple on a romantic getaway.

I stayed in a single room and found it faultless, really. There was no kettle in the room as far as I recall, but that's unnecessary with the hotel's provision of teas/coffees. The room was a good size and shape, really comfortable, with three pillows and duvet and blanket so should suit everyone. The bathroom was gorgeous with large powerful shower, and the room and hotel were kept spotless throughout our stay. The a/c in the room was great, especially as we stayed on the hottest weekend of the year! The wifi was reliable and fast. The breakfast buffet was fantastic (my friends liked the cake, I was impressed by the variety of breads and gherkins!), all really fresh and even though it was a very busy weekend, especially Stockholm Pride day, there was enough seating for everyone to be catered for. The reception staff were really helpful and polite (and will stamp/send postcards for you). I really couldn't fault the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for a few days in summer. The hotel is really central, within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and parks, as well as being down the road from the underground. It's got a lovely European feel to it, with comfortable furnishings in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Our room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing us with advice on transport options and restaurants. Generous breakfasts and free wifi were included in the price of the room, which was fantastic.

I would highly recommend this for single travellers, couples, or families (they do a child friendly breakfast too). In a city that is pretty pricey, this hotel is really good value for money.

We stayed in room 121 & 126, both rooms were nice. Room 126 had a miniature refrigerator roughly 1 foot wide and 1.5 feet (18 inches) tall. Rooms both have windows and other than a lot of honking between two cars at 1:15am (late Friday night//early Saturday morning) outside our room 121 window, the rest of the night was very restful.

The bathroom shower is a corner shower that has two glass walls -each essentially a glass door on stainless hinges that come together to create the shower. Great water pressure & hot water.

Room 121 oddity: Interesting full length (floor to ceiling) glass window (about 6 inches wide) separating the bathroom from the rest of the room. Thus people in the room can see if the person is at the sink, on the toilet or in the shower without any obstruction of view.

Breakfast from 7:15am-10am is a buffet style and is loaded with eggs, breads, bacon, cereals, yogurts, sausage, pate, cheeses and the list goes on.

Just want to add some photos which i wasn't able to include with my earlier review post. My room window was overlooking kungsgatan and i don't hear any street noise. Slept very well and very relaxing atmosphere.

Altho i can't say the same with Rm.121 where my companions stayed for the 2 nights. It is outdated for my taste and window is overlooking ofc. Or conference room of the hotel. The room decor is gloomy and the basin sink is on the left side upon entering the room, outside of the comfort/bathroom. Less room space than rm. 356, a little cramped for 2 adult and 1 toddler.

Stayed in a room that is for 2 at Rm. 356. I was happy they assigned me a room that is spacious, bright cool color & updated decor, nice bathroom, soft pillow & comfortable bed that it makes me not want to go down and walk around stockholm. Curtains are lined with daylight blockout which is good for summer season.
Best western is in a very good location with so many cafe's, restos and pubs around the blocks. Few blocks away - walking distance from central bus station, from open fruit market, branded shops and ahlens department store, and bus stop #17 of Stockholm RED Buses hop on hop off which is very convenient. Daily breakfast consist of scrambled eggs, bacon, 2 kinds of deli meat, coffee, teas, juices, cereals, some cheeses & breads (if i remembered it correctly).
Overall stay is satisfactory with very courteous and helpful front desk reception officers.
Would like to stay again in the refurbished side rooms of the hotel.
