“Average Hotel for Stockholm”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Spent 2 night in this hotel - room although expensive was small as was wardrobe space - very modern & clean. Breakfast was okay if you got down early - anytime after 730am and its difficult to find somewhere to eat. I am going to be in Stockholm several times next year but its unlikely I would stay here - other colleagues who stayed at the Raddison Blu Waterfront the same time were raving......

Very handy for the Arlanda express.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback! We have different room categories and the differences between them are room size, features within the room and of course the price. I hope that we will have the pleasure to see you as our guest again in the near future and then offer you a larger room perhaps more to your liking.

Best regards

Sitting in the great cosy lobby right now waiting for to go to the train just 5-10 minutes outside.
The room was fresh and clean (but for this price it should be). With a fresh clean style in black and white.
Lots to choose from on the good tasting breakfast.
The shopping streets is just outside the door and the same with lots of restaurants and bars...
Inside the hotel there is a Icebar, the whole room and interior is made from ice, even the glasses. It costs money to go in there, but then you get to borrow a big furry coat, gloves and shoes so you stay warm :)

Literally 20m from the Central Station and a pleasant walk to Gamla Stan, the old town. The hotel price includes a buffet breakfast (nice broad selection with some very tasty breads), and free internet. Rooms are small but comfortable and well presented (I avoided the windowless rooms, though, opting for a more standard hotel room). Nice wall sized mural in my room. Hotel includes Stockholm's Ice Bar, a must do for anyone but even more so when you get a guest discount! Staff all speak fluent English - like most Swedish - and they are friendly and helpful. Do try the restaurant's elk stew... Delicious!

Room Tip: I was placed at the end of quite a long set of corridors, which gave more a longer walk and a poor v...

Probably my worst experience of a hotel for a long time and I spend about 50 nights a year in them. I took one of the internal rooms (jokingly called moderate). No windows (fair enough they did say that) but it stank of open drains, there's a kettle but no cups, nowhere to hang anything (even yourself after staying in it) and a bed which is advertised as wide but with no mention of the length restriction! Why doesn't it say all this in the advert? And this place isn't cheap.

In the end i took the upgrade option, which I guess is the idea, but with no real care from the hotel, i do feel that I've been somewhat cheated. Still it makes the decision process easier next time I'm in Stockholm.

Dear guest,

I´m sorry to hear about your experience. There is no excuse that our drain should smell and this has been promptly dealt with by our Maintenance department. We have a variety of room categories which are differed by the size of the room, the features within the room and price. The room you had initially was an Expressrooms, the smallest room we have. I´m glad that we had the opportunity to offer you a lager room with a window but it saddens me that you feel cheated.
I hope that we will see you as our guest again in the near future!

Best regards

Some reviewers said that the receptionists were unfriendly - well we experienced the opposite. Traveling with my family (admittedly with two lovely daughters) we definitely got the attention of the front desk. Arriving from the night train before breakfast time, they handled our luggage right away and changed our booking slightly to fit us into a room in order to freshen up before breakfast. Later, we had to ask twice to get the second extra bed, and one of our key cards stopped working and had to be changed, but those were minor details you could face anywhere. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We never made it to that ice bar because of the high cover charge, would have been cool just to see it. Only later I come to think that as residents we might have been admitted free of charge, but we never asked...

This hotel is within walking distance from train station with easy access from airport by Arlanda Express train. This is a nice hotel with average but comfortable room. The lobby has several sitting aereas surrounded by aquariums. It has computers for internet access for free. The Ice Bar is located in the lobby. You must pay a fee to go in. It is an ok attraction if you never done it, but nothing special to go again. The hotel is well located in the center of the city and although a little walk to the old city center it is not bad.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your nice review! The Icebar has a total makeover every year where a new theme of iceart is created. As a hotel guest you also have a reduced entrance fee. It´s well worth visiting.
