The hotel is a bit south, 1 highway exit before the biggest IKEA outlet in the world. It's less crowded, the room is just okay, a bit small, but clean and well maintained. the breakfast was okay. but last time the heater isn't working. we stayed there 2 nights and we change room but it still wont work. except the heater, everything was just fine.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights mainly based to the confidence to Accor group of hotels. As a 4 star hotel, our first disappointment was about size and facilities of the room. For the first time, in a 4 star hotel, we had to pay a deposit for hair dryer and in a freezing cold country like Sweden, there were no rugs on the floor, the toilet paper was more like sand paper (!) than the intended one.

Surprises were not finished yet for us; during our only dinner taken in the hotel’s restaurant, one single waiter was absolutely inefficient for the service. But “dulcis in fundo” for us was the last evening; when I requested the business center for on-line check-in of our flight, the reception apologized for not having a business center for guests and kindly invited us to use our own mobile phones for it !... and this is in a 4 star hotel belonging to the biggest French hotel chain. Go to any of the thousands of Holiday Inn Express Hotels anywhere in the world, you can never see something like that, out of standard. You know in advance what you will find. This is the advantage of chains.

The only thing makes me give 3 stars is the fabulous breakfast buffet, if not, all the rest deserves not more than 2 stars.

Room Tip: Ask refurbished ones

Stayed in a privilege room- absolutely not worth the extra money. The check out was 4 pm for privilege room but it appeared that they were in a rush to get us out, there were knocks on the door from 12.30 onwards. Room was quite small compared to other Mercure hotels we have stayed in. There was a tea/ coffee maker and a hair dryer in the room which was good. But not enough milk was provided and it was not replaced the next day. There was no temperature control in the room and it went from very hot to very cold, could not sleep properly. Not the most comfortable of beds either. Reception staff were very friendly. Breakfast was ok, nothing great. About a 5-10 min walk from the station in a very remote residential area with nothing much around. Not going to recommend the hotel. Make sure you get out at the correct exit from the station otherwise it is an additional few minutes walk. Certainly did not reach the Mercure standards that I have seen. I am sure there are better hotels around for the price we paid.

Room Tip: ask for a room towards the front of the hotel as the other side can be quite noisy

Mercure is a very variable brand and this hotel is not one of their stronger versions. The location is decent for a non-city-centre hotel, about 7 mins walk from the T-Bana station (24 hour trains). Hotel rooms are big, but they do not seem to be filled up with much. And sorry hotel website's description, cheap MDF furniture does not equal Scandinavian design!

The room was clean, but just didn't really deliver anything other than bog-standard accommodation- e.g. towels were the cheapest sort, there was no hairdryer, there was shower gel instead of hand soap, there was no tea/coffee/kettle etc. However, the worst thing was the lack of temperature control. Even by leaving the window open, the room was roasting with no controls for changing it.

The breakfast was decent and the restaurant area perfectly nice, but they never seemed to have more than one receptionist on at any time- it's too big hotel not to have more, as it left us waiting.

Overall, the hotel is fine. It doesn't have any major unfixable issues, but think of it like a very budget hotel and no more and you won't be disappointed!

Breakfast good. plenty of choice.
Take room front side of the hotel. Back side of the hotel rooms--you cant sleep at nights if you open the window. Because you can hear the noise of vehicles on Motor way continuously.

Don't have simple facilities like coffee facilities (kettle) and hair dryer in room. Otherwise good hotel. Near to Metro for transport.

Room Tip: Rooms don't have hairdryer.

This hotel would have got five stars if I didn't have a problem when arriving. 5-10 minute walk from the metro, very easy to get to stockholm centre. Lovely bedroom, comfy beds, English tv channels, decent shower room, excellent breakfast!

Unfortunately there was a problem when arriving, I booked this hotel a year ago when they were going through renovations and I received an email saying I had paid. (unfortunately I never checked my bank balance) when I arrived at the hotel they informed me I had the full balance to pay because they never collected the money that I processed to go through. They told me there had been a glitch in the new system, this I understand but the fact they waited until the day I arrived to tell me was unacceptable, they could have emailed me to let me know the payment was never processed. This put a horrible start to the holiday as it was not in my budget. After a bit of a heated argument with management I was able to get 1 night free and that was acceptable to me, however it felt like they were telling it was my fault when it was them that never took the payment.

I would stay here again but this time I will be taking full bank records with me!
