We stayed for 3 nights at the Lady Hamilton and had a lovely experience. The location is superb, as it is just behind the Royal Palace and in the middle of Gamla Stan. The lobby and rooms have an old-world ambiance that make feel as if you have stepped back in time. While the double beds were 2 beds pushed together, as they often are in Europe, the mattresses and bedding were so soft and comfortable. The TV is small and somewhat difficult to see if you are on the wrong side of the bed, but we weren't in Stockholm to watch much TV! The bathroom was quite roomy for Europe and the shower and sink had a very modern design with lost of nice bath products to use. For some reason, I was not expecting the rooms to be air-conditioned, but they were. Everything was immaculate. Breakfast was delicious with salmon, cheeses, yogurts, breads, cereals, eggs, bacon, and sausage. There is also a computer in the lobby for guests to use and the staff was very helpful in printing boarding passes the night before we left. If we ever get back to Stockholm, we would love to stay at the Lady Hamilton again!

Nice hotel. The location is one of the best in Stockholm -- in Gamla Stan adjacent to the Royal Palace. However the rooms are a tad small. I've been in smaller ones and I don't think they are uncomfortably so, and of course they are clean and immaculate. Staff was very friendly. Genuine antiques throughout the hotel is a nice touch. For a short stay from three days to no more than a week, it's ideal.

The hotel is one of three owned by a family company, and it is full of personality, with shipping antiques everywhere. We chose it for the location, in the heart of the Old Town. We went for a room on the top floor which has air conditioning, so that we could shut the windows at night and keep the noise out, but I'm not sure this was necessary as the streets seemed fairly quiet at night (late May, mid week). The top floor is just under the roof, so I suppose could get hot at night, though the weather did not allow us to test this. Our room was not particularly large, but adequate. Service is good. Not a cheap place, though pricewise I have ittle to compare it with in this city, but the location, the service, and the personal furnishing of the hotel all made for an excellent stay.

The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes from the royal palace and right in amongst the picturesque streets and squares of the Old Town. The rooms are quite small, but skilfully designed, and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is full of interesting knick-knacks, some bordering on kitsch, and the decor is pleasant. The buffet breakfast is excellent, with plenty of good coffee.
The full price is quite high - I benefited from a three-nights-for-the-price-of-two booked through Expedia. This made the rate much more reasonable.
Overall, I would certainly recommend that a visitor to Stockholm should at least consider this interesting hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a triple room at this lovely hotel (two adults and one toddler). The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable and quiet. The room was very warm (we could regulate the heat ourselves) with heated bathroom tiles and lovely duvets. We paid extra for the breakfast both days - it was very nice. The people at the front desk were very helpful too.
A word of advice: if you're more than one person, it definitely makes sense to get a cab rather than the train from the airport. The hotel can book one for you and add it to your bill.
