Good Location, nice rooms, good service. Breakfast is ok..But the raooms are too small, which is normal for Stockholm Hotels. The Stuff is very freindly. Parking is available, which is important in Sthlm

The hotel is extremely well located – only 2 min walk to the nearest metro station, 5 min walk to one of the main harbour points where a number of boat trips depart, 5 mins to the shopping district and only 10 mins into the old town. The location couldn’t be better; I walked everywhere! Staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful – all speak excellent English. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful and the dinner included in my package one evening was very good too. The rooms are spacious, clean, and bright with free wifi and all the amenities required for a comfortable stay – mine had a big balcony that caught the morning sun which was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Stockholm and would definitely come back to stay here again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a balcony if you stay in the summer time.

Conveniently located, perhaps in a more quiet location than many others. Clean tidy and nice facilities (slippers and gown - Exec room) in the room. Included Dinner Bed and Breakfast - fixed menu which was a bit of a risk however worked well for us. All staff helpful and English speaking. Bit busy at breakfast one morning (9am) due to a conference so learnt by this and got there earlier (8am) and missed the crowds. Gym and unisex sauna were both very quiet only seeing one other during the 3 nights we were there. Room was too bright in the evening as the blinds didn't black out the room.

Room Tip: Room 602 was on the corner of the hotel (7 floors in total), quiet, and had a balcony

This reasonably priced hotel was in a great area for walking to all of the common sites including a fabulous food hall. Breakfast was plentiful but dinner was not that good. Still, there are many options all around for eating out or in.

A great hotel for a short stay - the whole place is thoughtfully designed and much more characterful than chain hotels, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast buffet is good, and it's in a nice part of town, convenient for the metro and the old city.

A particular highlight is the gym, which has to be the best of any hotel I've stayed in this year. Far bigger and better equipped than usual with weights, cable resistance machines, loads of cardio machines, a punch bag and a sauna.

The 'superior' room category is definitely worth it - costs only a little more, rooms are definitely nicer, and it includes entry to the health club for both of you, which would cost more than the room upgrade anyway.

As others have said, the rooms aren't the biggest - fine for a short stay or just one person, but would want more space for an extended stay for two - and the wifi coverage is rather patchy in the rooms. The room size isn't easily changed, and I guess is the reason the rates are so reasonable anyway, but the poor wifi coverage could easily be sorted with a few more access points.

Room Tip: Higher floors will be quieter. The street isn't very busy, so probably not much difference betw...

We stayed in Room #417 which is OK sized. A little bit on the crowded side with the 2 seat sofa and large desk with chair. In room safe is very appreciated. Small refrigerator. Not much room for unpacking ~ a couple shelves and hangers. They do provide bathrobes. The room next to mine even had house slippers, but mine did not. The beds and pillows are fabulous ~ best of our 3 week tour of Scandinavia. Complimentary instant coffee, tea and hot chocolate with electric water heater in the room. Complimentary mineral water in the room.

The lobby area is large with lots of seating in the open areas. Check-in was fast and accurate. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful when asked for assistance. This is a very secure hotel. The door from the lobby area to the rooms is locked and guests must be buzzed in by the receptionists or use their room keys for entry. Breakfast buffet included in price of the room was large and served scrambled eggs and bacon in addition to the typical Scandinavian fare of great breads, croissants, sliced meats, fresh fruit, fruit juices, hard & soft boiled eggs and variety of muesli cereals. Good coffee.

The shower in Room #417 was a mess. The shower curtain is only a 20" panel that goes about 1/3 way across one side of shower, so water sprays everywhere. Anything you have on the counter is going to get wet. This design makes no sense to me. The shower curtain in the room right next door could be pulled around the shower so water wasn't sprayed on everything in the sink area. You need to rethink the shower curtain design in Room 417, hotel management.

The hotel has blackout curtains which really help darken the room for good sleeping during summer nights when the sun sets very late and rises very early.

The good:

The location was in a quiet area and we were able to walk every where we wanted to go.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

For an avid reader such as myself it was lovely to be surrounded by books!

The breakfast had a good selection and the pancakes were great.

The room was clean and quiet as it was at the end of a corridor and overlooking apartments not the street.

The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect.

The tea selection was good, I especially liked the chai.

The shower was great with good pressure and the water was always hot.

The not so good:

The bathroom door was see through so offered no privacy when you were using the toilet - not so bad if you are with your partner but not ideal if you are with friends or family.

There were two singles duvets on the double bed for two people. (It was the same in a hotel I stayed in in Iceland so maybe it's a Scandinavian thing!)

The tea, milk and sugar were not replaced when they had been used.

The air conditioning did not work so it was too hot to sleep properly.

There was not enough storage space for clothes or suitcases - a couple of drawers would have been useful.

The bar of soap was replaced every day which is such a waste and bad for the environment.

It was chaos at breakfast time with everyone in each other's way fighting to get to the food and back to their tables.

Despite us putting a 'do not disturb' sign on the door the maids cleaned the room and then left it wedged open to let the maintenance team in whilst we were at breakfast - they were still there when we got back. I don't know how long the room was left unsecure for in between. However, we mentioned this to the front desk who left complimentary wine and chocolates for us. The next day the same maid said we must have forgotten to put the sign on and wanted to clean during breakfast again even though we told her we had not forgotten it and that we wanted her to wait until we had gone for the day as we wanted to use the room after breakfast.

Summary:

A lovely hotel which I would recommend - it just needs to make a few changes to be perfect!

Room Tip: 329 - quiet at the end of corridor and not overlooking street.
