Stayed for a long weekend in Stockholm and this provided a perfect base as it's in the centre of the city. Staff very friendly and hotel spotless. Breakfasts also had an excellent range.
Would certainly stay again.

I booked this hotel as part of an entertainment package and wasn't disappointed. Staying in hotels in Stockholm isn't what I usually do, and had it not been part of that package I had probably chosen a hotel with lower price.
The hotel rooms were normal sized and they were clean. No view, unless you count the back yard. Very friendly service and the hotel is placed in a quite calm location, yet close to everything. Very close to what is the best hot dog joint in the country. :)
Breakfast was great and there were two teddybears waiting for us on our bed.
We loved this hotel...It was clean, comfortable, the bathroom was very nice, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was excellent....a buffet with all types of things, including sqeeze your own orange juice station, make your own waffles station, pastries, cheese, crakers, yogurt, fruit...we would eat a huge breakfast and be full until supper time! We found this was true in the other hotel we stayed at in Stockholm as well.
We just returned from a long weekend in Stockholm and really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western.
We flew in to Vasteras Airport on cheap Ryanair flights and used the Flygbussarnas service, which connects with all Ryanair flights, to get into Stockholm city centre.
The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the central station (where the bus drops you) and is quite central to the shopping area, the Old Town (Gamla Stan) and the Vasa Museum and Skansen in Djurgarden. If you dont want to walk the underground train stop is about 50 metres from the hotel.
There are some really nice restaurants in the Old Town and close by the hotel that we ate at and the nearby shopping, whilst sometimes pricey, was great. There are also plenty of 7-Eleven stores nearby for snacks on the run.
We didnt need to eat lunch most days as the hotel has a great breakfast buffet (including hot food) for guests which is included in the price of your stay so we just filled up before setting out for the day. It can be quite busy in the mornings but we always got a table and the food was always topped up. I would stay here again just for the free breakfast.
The rooms were very clean and modern. Despite reading other reviews which said that the rooms were cold and did not have individual temperature controls i can say that our room did have a wall heater which was easily adjustable, so the room temperature was not a problem.
There was a TV and DVD player in our room with about 15 cable channels (most of which are in English). The beds were very comfortable and the room cleaning service was great. The staff were exceptionally friendly and offered to hold our bags for us when we arrived early for check-in so that we could go sightseeing whilst our room was being made up. They also pointed out where all the sites were and even offered to book day-trips and attractions (including transfers) at the front desk.
There are coffee and tea making facilties in the room and unlike other 3 star hotels we have stayed at they do provide shampoo/conditioner, soap, body wash etc. in the bathrooms.
The only bad thing i can say about the hotel is the condition of the bathrooms and the lifts. The lifts are old and i think they are being renovated at the moment so they didnt look very nice but not a big issue.
Whilst the batthrooms were clean and tidy, the shower door was not on the rails properly and the pipes for the hot/cold water are not installed behind the tiles and therefore can be seen around the walls of the bottom of the bathroom. This again was not really a big issue for us as we did not spend a lot of time in our room but it did cheapen the look of an otherwise nice hotel.
Despite these last points, if we go back to Stockholm we will defintely stay here again.
This hotel is cold even though it is only November - and there are no individual room heating controls: note take warm clothing.
During my stay, the staff failed to give me a morning call: making me over an hour late for a business meeting - note take your alarm clock!
On arrival, late evening, the bathroom smelt like somethng had crawled in and died. If faced with this problem, tip most of the shower gel into the drain and run the shower for 30 minutes - worked for me.
Housekeeping standards are poor : used drinking glasses and empty mineral water bottles just left in the room for two or three days.
Poor value for money.
