Stayed here for 03 nights in March 2006. We were here on business and requested for single rooms. We were given corner rooms one above the other. The rooms were pretty comfortable for one person. The bed was very comfy and the decor was pleasing, with a great view of the national library. The bathroom was not very big, but was very clean and had decent amenities . The buffet breakfast offered a decent spread wioth good choice of hot and cold dishes.
It was snowing during our stay there, and it just added to the beauty of the whole place.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful and courteous.They made restaurant reservations for us, provided us with maps and were quick to answer our queries.
The location of the hotel is very nice. Its a few minutes walk to the shopping area and there are many restaurants catering to different tastes, all located within 10 mins walking distance.In fact, one can even take a leisurly walk ( around 20-30 mins) to the old part of stokholm known as gamlastan.
Overall, enjoyed our stay here and will not hesitate to stay here next time in Stockholm

Although my single room was quite small, it had all amenities I wanted. The location is superb - near metro and buses. Good shopping district. Staff very helpful and friendly. Was given an umbrella and no one asked it back. Very fine restaurants in the neighbourhood, all of them however topped by the hotel's own which in my guidebook was described as one of Stockholm finest. Creative cuisine which tastes well. Try the Hors-d'Oeuvre menu!

Stayed here on my first visit to Stockholm and booked via Expedia. Got a pretty good deal and based my choice on the other reviews posted on this site.

Location-wise, it is kinda North West from the centre of town, in Vasastan with the nearest Tube station about 7-8 mintues walk away. It is in mostly a residential area.

The rooms were nice and clean, and had most of the amenities. The view wasn't anything to write home about, but beds were very comfortable. The air-conditioning didn't really fulfil its purpose as it felt pretty humid at night, even with the windows open as well - but this is quite a minor gripe.

The service was good, they let us have a late checkout and were equally helpful with any queries.

Onto the breakfast, it was very good - a wide range of food and a lot of healthy options too. You will not be disappointed!

Overall, this is a very good hotel to stay in and taken into account the good price, I award it 4 stars. It didn't necessarily felt like a four-star hotel and location could be better but on a budget, it is a great choice.

I came to this site prior to my recent visit to Stockholm. I had mixed thoughts about what to expect! However I returned last night to the UK with great memories about my stay in this fabulous City and this lovely Hotel. Comfortable, clean, attentive staff, great breakfast and in a perfect location. Having lived in London for many years I would compare the area of ostermalm to Mayfair. Opposite the Hotel there is a great Italian Coffee shop where you can sit out and "people watch". The Hotel is opposite the beautiful Humlegarden which houses the National Library. This Hotel is in a perfect location in my opinion as most places of interest are in walking distance. Although Stockholm has a good underground network it's a shame not to walk it!
