“Excellent day out!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Highly recommend making time to visit. Lots to see, learn and explore. Comfy walking shoes are a must. Great views out over Stockholm. Lots of quiet places to take a break, old swedish houses. Don't miss out on the bread baking - very yummy. So much to choose from that you won't get bored for hours.

“Good for kids and families.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We attended the Midsummers festival here in June, the exhibits looked interesting, but really crowded that day, obviously. The Maypole Event was cool to see. Not a lot to do for older people, except for the mini zoo, which was cool.

“Really great open air break from the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Stopped by Skansen after a business meeting finished early. Lovely outdoor place to have a little walk around, see some old Swedish architecture and local animals, would be great for kids and on a good day you could certainly make a full day of it!

“Great plave with fantastic views over stockholm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

We have an open air museum in wales, so was interested to find out how it compared.

We were not disappointed, the museum is big with the nice addition of loca l animals. The area is quite hilley so bear this in mind if mobility is an issue.

The buildings were very well laid out and the smells coming from the 'bring your own food' public bbq was very tempting, what a great idea!

You will need at least 2 - 3 hour for your visit.
