“Pretty warship”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

When I saw the outside of the museum it did not look impressive especially it being so close to the Nordiska Museum but when I went inside and saw the Vasa it was just wow! The back end of Vasa with all it's carvings just so amazing. The tours are good and what an interesting story about the Vasa - what can I say "Those who are absent are always in the wrong" but in this case I think it's true (nothing against the Dutch). It's a really shame you can't go on board (due to the over drying) and the low lighting (for preservation purposes). The museum is open early which is always good for tourist (trying to cram everything in).

“Very interesting for marina fans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Two hours are run away during visiting this museum. A lot of interesting details and stories.
Two tips: download audio guide from their home page. And second is remember to take some sweater. There is 18 degrees C in the museum.

“Don't miss this!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Our favorite sightseeing stop - don't miss it! We had an excellent tour guide who told us all about this 1628 vessel which was brought up from the nearby ocean only about 20 years ago. The ship sunk on its maiden voyage - and is amazingly preserved!

“Incredible Ship Restoration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

I am a naval architect by training and have been in the ship building business for decades. This was an incredible exhibit. Its history from construction through its tragic sinking to the story of its salvaging is all fascinating. If you have any interest in things maritime, this is a must see.

“must see.”

Great museum, lots of attention to detail but just the sight of the ship makes it worth going there!
