“Its not only for the beer...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

I go here cause of all the belgina beer. But I will not complain about the food. Its good. Especially the Biff Rydberg that is really nicely presented and a pure joy to eat. But its the beer i go there for.
Service is brilliant. Not many seconds of waiting when i needed something. And then its the beer...

“Missing Service Attitude”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Great location, great atmosphere and interior, as well as very good food. BUT the service is the worst I have experienced. The waiter did not once ask if we needed anything else (despite drinks being empty around the table) and was in addition rude and agressive. As I am native Swedish speaker, this was not a case of lost in translation - just a complete lack of respect for the customer.

“Poor food, terrible service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

I ordered a fish soup that tasted terrible. The waiter asked me if it tasted alright and I said no, he just went away. I did not eat the soup, and when it was time to pay, I once again tolded him the food was terrible, the waiter said that many had complained, but that it should taste like that!

“AKA Duvel Cafe - Well worth a visit for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

Went there with a friend for lunch last week and was pleasantly surprised.
Today´s lunch is somewhat more expensive than at other places in the neighborhood, but worth the money.
It includes a starter and a main course, very well presented and tasteful.
Being overwhelmed by the number of beers to choose from, we asked the waiter to serve us whatever he thought would fit with the food. Excellent choice.

We both agreed the food was very good, the ambience nice and pretty relaxed.
The service was somewhat relaxed as well, but nothing that wasn´t corrected immediately upon pointing some details out like spoons missing to the soup and no bread on the table to go with it.

I haven´t been here for dinner since the place was Pub Kloster many years ago but a friend of mine tells me it is good in the evenings too. Evening crowd is mainly beer connaiseurs, lunch crowd is journalists, businessmen and the occasional banker.

Maybe not the place to go to for lunch with young kids, but if you like to eat lunch in a calm environment without kids, this is a good place.

Oh, if you like Moules frites, this is the place for you.

“Great food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

There is a huge selection of beers, so a must if you're a buff.

Service was excellent, the waiter was very chatty.

Food was excellent. I had the veggie dish, which was really delicious, a potato patty-type dish, with yummy sauce and veg. I loved the dish and really liked that they hadn't just opted for the standard risotto/pasta dish. I just don't understand why other restaurants don't put in similar efforts.

My dining companion had a seafood stew, which was deemed to be excellent too (it certainly looked it!).

It was qutie expensive, however, probably no more than is average for Stockholm. Definitely worth a visit.
