A perfect hotel if you are looking for a centrally placed location in Stockholm. The room we had was nice but very small and hardly no place for placing the clothes, we did ask for extra hangers and got them but it was not enough. The bar and restaurant are very nice and full of locals which makes it a fun place, the room was on the street but still calm and no problem for sleeping. I would stay here again, the prices are fantastic.

Our stay at the Story Hotel in August 2011 was a pleasure.
The Hotel and restaurant crew was great.
The hotel and of course the rooms a very stylish and clean. Breakfast was nice.
I love the bar, Dj, coctails and the restaurant downstairs.
We had a nice, really nice time. we will come back again!

Story Hotel is cool boutique hotel with lots of interesting details. Rooms are decorated in distinctive style. One wall of my room was full of modern art posters and old wooden door was used as a headboard for my bed.

Breakfast was good with many foreign newspapers to read. Breakfast tables could be bigger.

The situation is ideal if you're willing to do some serious shopping. Östermalm -metro station is just around corner. There are also many great restaurants in the nearby (visit Östermalm Saluhall!)

Staff was extremely helpful and polite.

Best hotel I've stayed in Stockholm.

Right by the T-bana station, lots of restaurants nearby. The room was small with a large bathroom. Reasonable rates by Stockholm standards. Average breakfast.

Stayed at Story over a weekend in Stockholm. It is a little bit different - in a good way - from other mainstream hotels. It is situated a stonethrow from Stureplan (the happening part of Stockholm). It is easy to miss the hotel when you walking there since there are 3 different doors, entrance to the bar, then the hotel followed by the restaurant entrance. There is no check in desk as such, you check yourself in on the computers provided and get a pin code for the room - no card keys required.. just make sure you remember the code! :-) I had a x-large room which was a good size. My friends stayed in a large room. There was not that much difference in size. The room did not have drawers to put your clothes, instead it had an open clothes rail for you to hang your clothes. OK for a couple of days but not for longer stays. There is a fridge with 2 bottles of complimentary water bottles - you are then incouraged to fill up the fridge yourself or you can purchase drinks from the bar and fill up the fridge (there are two corner shops almost outside the hotel )
The bathroom had underfloor heating and lovely Face stockholm products.
Breakfast was really nice.. not a massive buffet but OK. I especially loved the freshly baked cinnamon rolls - yum! Also loved that they had burning candles on the tables.. made it so cosy. The bar was really busy in the evenings until 2am with DJ's playing. Recommend the cocktails in the bar - very good.
I would go back and stay here again for the atmosphere and because it is different.

Room Tip: Go high to avoid being disturbed by the music from the bar

We picked this hotel because of it's quirky trendiness and it did not disappoint. The rooms are decorated in a very modern style with a faux unfinished feature wall and art prints on the other walls.

Everything was clean and new and little touches made it feel designed rather than thrown together. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the hotel is very near to a T-bana station and just round the corner from a nice shopping street.

The only downside was that our room was at the back and so the view was onto a patio for the bar, this could at times be a bit noisy. Although it didn't detract from our experience, it might be a bit off putting for someone wanting complete peace and quiet.
