The rooms are big and very comfortable, the breakfast is very good and excellent staff. The location is perfect! Walking distance to many interesting places in Stockholm ..............................................................................................................

Stayed in the this hotel recently on a business trip. When I first walked in (albeit) late at night from the airport - there was noone on reception which annoyed me. Also there was a large picture of a woman breastfeeding behind reception...not a painting...a photo!

The a very scruffily dressed but lovely girl showed up (jeans and a vest top) and directed me to my room.

In my room there was another photo of a naked woman in thigh high boots on the wall behind my bed.

Naked photos aside (why are they never of men btw?) The hotel has a lot of edgy but cosy Nordic charm. Its cosy enough to feel like home but edgy enough to let you know that some thought went into it's design, although I am not sure what those thoughts were! Nudity doesn't bother me but perhaps this hotel isn't for the easily offended.

Service is breezy and sweet. Very informal for such an expensive hotel...

I liked it but I would say it was the world's safest bet for recommendation!

Location is perfect however and I slept like a dream.

My husband and I came here at the end of the summer and could not have been happier. The staff was so helpful from the moment we walked in and once the doors opened we knew we were in for a special experience. Everything about this hotel is very unique and trendy. It really makes you feel like you are in a special hotel. From the beautiful breakfasts that make you feel right at home to the comfortable beds and decorations in the rooms. We looked at many places to stay while in Stockholm and we could not have been happier that this was our choice.

Located next to the Grand Hotel, the Lydmar equals the Grand only as to location. It surpasses it in many other ways as far as we are concerned. It's entrance is modest but once inside, it has the feel of a small club. The high ceilings and large windows add to the ambiance. We stayed in the Classic room and though small, it was well thought-out in terms of space usage. The bathroom was spacious and had a great shower. The breakfast was included and consisted of a buffet and made-to-order items. Very good as well. We'd return without question.
