“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

I stayed at this hostel for three days and it was very nice and clean and everything was well organized, just what you would expect in Sweden. The dorm beds were really clean and comfortable, and in general it was fairly quiet in the room despite people coming and going all the time. There was free internet and computers that you could use, which was great. The toilets and showers were also clean. This wasn't the most cosy place though and doesn't feel like a place you want to hang out for long periods of time but the location is absolutely great and you can walk everywhere really fast. Good choice for few nights!

Great location on the green metro line and in a nice neighbourhood with good shopping and amenities. I was travelling alone and and one of the private rooms with a bathroom but no windows. As it was super sunny outside I found it hard to go indoors but once there settled
Into my cave. Great decor and room. Kitchen nice and friendly. Staff were fabulous and helpful.

Nothing ba o say a about this place at all

+ 880 kronor (103e.) for a "double room with private bathroom" (Good value)
+ Good location near to the metro
+ Good customer service
- Bring your own sheets or rent them (then again the price is not bad)
- Make your own bed
- Check in only after 15.00 (no flexibility with that)

Room Tip: Double room with private bathroom good value for you monies

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Due to the cost of living in Stockholm, I wanted to stay somewhere with a kitchen, but I also wanted to be quite central and have a private room with ensuite. Skanstulls ticked all of those boxes at a great price.

To get to the private room, you have to go through a locked door so the private rooms are somewhat segregated and therefore quiet. To be honest, if linen had been provided it would have been hotel quality. We rented linen and therefore it did feel like a hotel with a kettle in the room and the ensuite. The rooms don't have windows though, which you are told when you book. I had no problem with this, but some might.

The kitchen is well equipped although poorly designed so there is very little preparation space. Luckily, the hostel was quiet so this wasn't a problem.

The location is good, close to the metro lines but you can walk into the old town easily enough. We had a metro card though which I think was useful, but Stockholm is pretty spread out so you might need that wherever you stay.

Highly recommended. Would use again without hesitation!

Room Tip: Didn't see the dorms, but ensuite private rooms are great.

I just woke up from my first nights stay and i must say the beds are extremely comfortable. Im in dorm 8 which consists of 3 bunks but only shared with 1 other person so i think i chose a great time to come to Stockholm abd even though my room was closest to the street the noise was minimal.

On arrival the staff were really friendly in offering information for any enquiries i had.
This was my first hostel stay so this place has set an impressive benchmark for me.

I needed litteratly just a place to sleep. But i found the place really nice, allthough I would have preferred a " womens-only" dorm room. I checked in really late so the reception was closed, but keys, Info etc was needly places in a little locker. Clean bedlinnen was placed on the bed for rent (could have been great to be able to rent towells aswell)
Bathrooms and girlshowers was really clean and nice.
