“Clean and comfortable business friendly hotel...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

There are quite a few things that UK hotels could take from the Elite Park Hotel to help improve their service. Firstly, the space is open, clean and friendly, which makes it welcoming without being fussy. The reception is an extension of the rooms, so you never feel that the front is selling something more luxurious than they can cater for.

Overall I was impressed by the fast and free WiFi - something that so many hotels don't seem to be able to get right. The rooms are airy and comfortable, the bathrooms are especially good, and the large windows can be opened to help freshen up the room quickly. Although you may want to be careful undressing as offices across the road could see your most intimate areas - so make sure to close the curtains. The breakfast is wide-ranging and balances healthy with nutritious. I was delighted to be able to have my regular morning movement without being encumbered by stodgy, fatty breakfast offerings.

One final point - I needed to get some papers printed, and the hotel saw to it that this was done with no fuss at all. I have stayed in hotels where this type of request is treated as if you are asking for the moon on a stick - even in business hotels!

Overall, this is a no-frills business hotel with a nice bit of character, and most essentially is clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: There are rooms facing down to the fountain which are very nice.

Stayed for two nights on business. Very quiet, clean room and excellent buffet breakfast are an asset. Town center within short walking distance. Use public parking as the hotel parking is very expensive ( unless you get refunded ). But yhe reception makes you aware of the price diffence and the public parking is not much further away than the hotel parking.

Had a super overnight here. Great facilities ( hot tub, sauna) and friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was good although I didn't try the restaurant in the evening.
They have two separate buildings, try for the one away from where reception is and ask for a room on the 3rd floor so you can take easy advantage of the sauna/ jacuzzi
Very handy for all Vaxjo facilities

I will be back.

Huge, bright room right across the beautiful Concert Hall and fountain. Tea (Khoisan brand from South Africa, very nice!) & coffee in the room, variety of TV channels, huge bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast in a funky environment. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Not sure why the sauna wasn't accessible

Stayed for two nights in a nice, quiet room. The room was comfortable, the layout was interesting and the WiFi worked perfectly. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff was very helpful. As others have noted, parking is an issue with city parking available in two zones. The closest zone is expensive, and Zone 2, a block away, less expensive. It is free at night and after 2 pm on Saturday. There are plenty of restaurants in the central walking area, and the hotel is a 15 minute walk to the Immigrant Museum, or cathedral. There are two Elite Hotels in Vaxjo and this is a good one.

The Elite Park Hotel is located in two buildings adjacent to the theater in Vaxjo. The rooms are spotless and well kept, the wi-fi is excellent and free, and the breakfast is bountiful. The staff were personable and very helpful. Parking at the hotel garage can be expensive, but we were directed to a parking area two blocks away where the twenty-four rate was only thirty crowns. The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the cathedral and the swedish emigration museum and is ideally located for all of downtown Vaxjo.
