My wife and I took our adult children and son-in-law to Ireland for a special vacation and visited Slieve League on one of those days. I don't know that I can add too much to what the other reviewers have written. The views were excellent, the weather changed from cloudy to relatively sunny during our visit, and it was REALLY windy. In fact, there is a small stream coming out of the side of the hill below the parking area and the wind was blowing the water right back up into the air! This is a great place to hike, it is not touristy, and under the right weather conditions, it would be a great place to spend several hours. There is a parking area quite a ways farther down the road coming up to the viewing area and our daughter and hubby walked from there but it's quite a hike. I drove to the end and managed to park and back around without going over the edge so I'd recommend you drive all the way up, park, and then hike around from there. This is a remote area but well worth your time if weather conditions are right. My wife and I visited here on a previous trip in 2007 and it was so foggy that day we could barely see anything- including the road in front of us!
