“Hamlets Home??”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Kronborg Castle is undergoing alot of external renovations. So a 10 min walk from the train station becomes more like 30 .Bus 188 goes part way. Regal and Military history buffs will get their fill .Having a 600 + year history lesson in your presence.is striking The rooms of the castle are spartinly furnished your imagination can fill in the spaces. and the grandure of yester times. The chapel well furnished and preserved escaping the fire of 1629. The architecture from afar will hold you spellbound .. The many out buildings on the fortification site have many
designer shops including an excellent coffee shop that does its own roasting. 45 min train ride from Copenhagen and 110k admission both covered by our Copenhagen Card.well worth it.See if you can spot The Little Merman Statue close to the castle grounds?

“Unique history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Kronborg Castle is a must see if you're visiting anywhere near Copenhagen. This was the primary home for the Denmark dynasty for centuries and has a very interesting history. You can tour almost the entire castle, including the church, and the dungeon. It has been well preserved and the tour guides are very knowledgeable. The only problem is that it is quite a walk from the train station right now, as there is quite a bit of construction.

“History unfolds at Kronborg Slot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

We had a guided tour around the magnificent castle and learned a lot of its intriguing history. Despite being extensively restored in the 1920's, the interiors nevertheless manages to convey a good impression of historic court life in Denmark, much aided by fascinating computer animated sequences. The museum shop is also worth a visit, as it holds a brilliant selection of interesting things, souvenirs and gifts, that relates more or less to the history of Kronborg.
