Description: Fuego is an Argentine restaurant and cocktail bar bringing its own concept of Latin-American food and atmosphere into the Danish capital, located in the old city just behind the Royal Theatre. The main specialty is the Argentinean meat grilled, as it would be in its native land and a curate selection of Argentinean wines takes you into a deep experience. Fuego´s kitchen concept is the fusion of the meat with classical and innovative gourmet trends. In the Lounge you can choose to experience the Argentinean wines and tapas where you can try their homemade delicatessen and also their particular meat. From six o'clock Fuego's Lounge Bar offers trendy cocktails with a cosy and relaxed atmosphere by the open fireplace. On Fridays and Saturdays they host international Dj?s until 3:00 am.

“Awesome empanadas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

I'm a very picky eater, and eating in a country outside the US is a bit stressful for me. But this was not a problem at all at Fuego. I ordered the empanadas for an appetizer, the charrusco for dinner and the dulce de leche infused creme brulee for dessert. The empanadas were absolutely delicious and not at all reminiscent of those you get at On the Border (though I do love those!). The charussco steak was done well and was served with delicious shredded potatoes wrapped in bacon. The creme brulee was also very good. My criticisms would be that no steak knife was provided with the steak, making it difficult to cut, and that the wait staff could have been a bit more attentive. With that said, the wait staff was much more attentive than I have seen at virtually any other restaurant in Copenhagen. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to dine here. I definitely recommend Fuego and will go back on my next trip to Copenhagen.

“Best dessert EVER!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

We tried this restaurant after many positive comments on Trip Advisor and it did not disppoint. Although very tempted to go for the set menu, we thought 3 courses each seemed quite a lot of food so we shared the empanadas (very freshly baked with a good amount of filling and flavour). I ordered the starter of tarte tatin as my main which was so lovely - just the right amount of pastry, carmelised onion, goats cheese and unusually fois gras and chestnut puree which all worked really well together while my boyfriend had the Argentinian mix grill which had superb cuts of meat, all really well cooked to medium-rare as requested and large enough portions to finish the plate but not feel too full. We ended the meal with a shared chocolate fondant which as a massive dessert fan is probably the best dessert i've ever had (and i've had my fair share!). The chocolate fondant was spongy and crunchy around the edges while the melted middle oozed with a lovely chocolate sauce that wasn't too sickly or sweet. The Bailey's parfatit was also delicious with a gentle Bailey's flavour and lovely pistachio crust. The whole dessert was faultless!
Overall it was a very enjoyable meal (loved the open fire by the door!) and although the website seemed quite informal and relaxed, i found the restaurant more high-end but still friendly (we just felt a tad under dressed!) so definitely splash out and give this restaurant a try!

“superb argentinian meat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

If you like your steakes, this is the place to go. We tested the chef by asking for different spesifics on the grade of cooking... to our delight he got it perfect! Nice quiet restaurant for a romantic evening. Cosy fireplace, but sadly a lot of the smoke came out in the room.

“Great quality for beef meat lovers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

The meat is fantastic - just the product - no bla bla or heavy sauce - from the filet to the entrecote - we enjoyed the taste and the perfect atmosphere of the restaurant. The wine list is also providing a large choice of Argentino classic's. Pricing can be an issue if you consider 2 main course +1boltle of wine + 1 dessert = 193 euro without tips
