“Amazing experience! Come Hungry!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013 via mobile

Amazing experience. Amazing meal. Come hungry! The pre fixe menu claims to be 5 courses but the first antipasti course is 5 different dishes alone!! Wine list is very reasonably priced. Between 4 of us we had 2 bottles of wine and the meal and it cost about $200 per couple. Not bad at all considering the quantity and quality of food. We had wanted to dine at one of Copenhagen's Michelin rated restaurants but could not get a reservation. We settled on Famo but we're so glad we did! Try Famo, you won't be disappointed!!

We were there very late but they had been kind and accepted us for some Italian food. Tasty and genuine indeed.

“Still a good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

This is my third visit to Famo in Saxogade. My first visit was a great experience, my second one – with family – not quite as good. But this time everything was just right. And they offered a wine menu, which turned out to be good. Five excellent antipasti (including deep-friend cod), simple but perfect pasta (with an ice-cold red wine!), a delicious braised lamb shank on a bed of (not too much) polenta and chard (with a great red wine) and panna cotta with berries for dessert, accompanied by a pleasant dessert wine. The service was welcoming and friendly. Famo is still a good place if you are hungry and need a rustic Italian food fix!

“great italian food, come hungry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

This was very near our hotel so my husband and I came here after seeing tripadvisor reviews and booked day before when passing. The menu is fixed so you can't choose but it was all extremely tasty. There were 5 antipasti (all very big), a pasta course, meat course and dessert so we were v full at the end but all of it had been really good so would highly recommend. They don't rush you at all and there's nice gaps between courses. Staff v friendly.

“A fantastic Italian meal and experience in CPH”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I enjoyed our last dinner in CPH at Famo. What a finale! We're glad we had an early morning flight the next day since we booked early. This turned out to be a good thing because the meal lasted more than 2.5 hrs. With five antipasti, a first and second course, followed by dessert - it was the most substantial meal we had in CPH. We ate at some excellent Michelin rates restaurants, but in the end, Famo was one of our very favorites. Excellent, clean cooking in the Chez Panisse style with friendly, very generous service. We will definitely be back if we ever return to CPH. Many thanks, Famo for a memorable meal (and then some!).
