Description: Conditori La Glace is the oldest and probably best confectionary in Denmark. Founded in the middle of old Copenhagen on the 8th of October 1870, it has through six generations delivered joy and quality to Copenhagen and its visitors. It is an experience to visit the beautiful old rooms located in Skoubogade 3. La Glace has a lot to offer, including good taste, traditions, history, as well as quick and qualified service. You can choose to enjoy the confections on location or bring the cakes home with you for coffee. Alternatively, we can deliver to your door. We hope that after seeing what we have to offer you will feel like visiting our confectionary, tasting our products, and making use of our many services. We are looking forward to welcoming you to La Glace.

“Put it on your list when you are in Copenhagen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

When we visit Denmark and make a trip to Copenhagen we always make time to visit La Glace. The cakes are works of art and people gather around the window to admire the wonderful confections inside. We've only visited on weekdays and found it it to be less crowded than it would likely be on a Friday or the weekend. I love that this konditori has been around since the late 1800's. You can imagine this place in years past and the numbers of people stopping at La Glace, doing the same thing we've done - "people watching" and enjoying a dessert with tea and hot chocolate after a busy day walking the Strøget (Copenhagen's shopping street).

“Overrated Overpriced but a piece of Copenhagen's history !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012 via mobile

Terrible cakes look pretty but flavor is lacking and really nothing special about it the cakes with alcoholic flavor are horrible do not dare touching them seems like someone thinks that they are serving drinks at a bar and not cakes. No balance or delicacy in the making of the cakes visit the place but avoid buying there are other marvelous bakeries and conditories in Copenhagen!

“Nice konditori”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

The 'Sports kage' is the most famous here - A king size cake which has lots and lots of cream - Two or more people could share one piece. The place can get very crowded so if you are looking for peaceful place to simply hangout, it may not serve the purpose.

“Cafe The Good Old Days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

The cafe is one of Denmarks oldest with a long tradition and handmade produce. The prices are high, but the experience is "Copenhagen in the 1920's". Expect to pay around DKK 200 for coffee and cake for two people.
Expensive, but worth it.
