“Nice hotel - liked the apartment style of the rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Stayed here on business, rooms nice and comfortable, beds very cosy, although heating didn't seem to have worked too well, couldn't quite get the room warm as I would have liked.

Eat in oscars resturant and good food, and generally nice and quiet. Downside is wifi didn't work on the apple devices in the room, you had to register your MAC code with reception, but still never got them working, although the laptop worked fine. Otherwise if you want to be in this part of the city then it's a good option

Back here after two years staying elsewhere in town. On the plus side: clean rooms, good quality of upholstery, ottos restaurant still friendly, very convenient location for north end of town, comfortable beds, quiet. On the downside, essentially no innovation in 2 years eg, still no bathrobes/ slippers , atrociously complicated and bureaucratic wifi, ottos staff still refuse to write down orders and get them wrong consistently, reception staff constantly under deliver on the basics like keeping your stuff in one place while you are away. This place is sitting on the laurels of excess demand and has a mindset of "milk you while we can" rather than " we get better every day".

The Adina Apartment hotel is a little out of the centre, but this was not a problem as the 26 bus goes from nearby and Osterport station 5-10 mins away (especially if you find the shortcut over the footbridge). The facilities in the room were excellent and everything worked. We had no problems at all with the shower or the drains as mentioned in previous reviews.

It is great to be able to eat in if you want to, as obviously this is much cheaper than going out; there didn't seem to be a huge choice of restaurants around and about, though obviously a lot more nearer the centre. The Netto is fairly basic but adequate; a better selection is found at the supermarket by Osterport station. We did mourn the lack of M&S meals for £10 though!

Really good to have a dishwasher and a washing machine and drier in the apartment. The kitchen could have been a bit better equipped, as it lacked things like oven gloves and a dishcloth.

Didn't try the gym, but the jacuzzi, sauna and pool were good, with plenty of towels provided.

Copenhagen is an expensive city, but this is a great option, as the apartments come fully equipped with their own kitchen, and there is a Netto located conveniently downstairs. We had a one bedroom apartment which was a great size for the two of us, plus we were impressed with TVs in both the bedroom and the lounge. We made full use of the jacuzzi and swimming pool facilities, which were small but clean. The hotel is a good 30 minute walk from the centre of Copenhagen, but is located only 5 minutes from the little Mermaid, and there is a bus that stops right outside that can take you into town really easily. We stayed on New Years Eve and even got a free bottle of bubbly! The only downside was that our room was located next to a big window in the corridor that people had obviously used to hold their own party and view the New Year fireworks, so their smoking drifted into our room and it really smelled for the next few days.... but maybe we should have been honoured to have such a great view that people wanted to have a party outside our room!

My partner and I have just stayed here for three nights and were really impressed. We originally booked a studio apartment but on check in were told that we'd been upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean and well decorated with a lovely small kitchen and a washing machine/ tumble dryer. As other reviews have said, there is a Netto next door which we found really useful as it meant that we didn't have to spend large sums of cash eating out in Copenhagen. If you don't fancy cooking though, there are quite a few nearby restaurants which all look pretty good.

The hotel is just out of the centre but we didn't find this a problem as its only a 20 min walk or a short train ride away. It's also right next door to the ferry port which is really handy if you want to leave baggage at the hotel after checking out (worth doing as a locker at the DFDS terminal is 60 kr!!). The walk itself into the city centre is quite nice and can incorporate the little mermaid statue and Fredericksburg church if you want to do some sight seeing.

All in all our stay was great. My only criticism would be that the hotel seems a little keen to charge for anything and everything it can get away with- a single sachet of washing powder for eg is 25kr so it's definitely worth planning ahead and making good use of the Netto!!

Room Tip: It's worth paying for the one/two bed apartments as you get quite a lot more for your money

I stayed here for business purposes for a few days and I had a good experience. The rooms were clean and nice, they included the kitchen, washer & dryer and the reception was very helpful and patiently answered all my questions and booked a taxi for me when needed. I had no issues with the shower (mentioned by some of the other reviewers). On the flip side, breakfast is not included in the room price and due to some reason the wifi in the rooms does not work on the iPhone (it works on the laptop and works in the lobby). The hotel is a little away from the city center but Netto (a Danish grocery store) is nearby. Overall, my experience was good.

I am a business traveler who often stays at Adina. The rooms are of a good size and comfortable.

I am however, increasingly disappointing with the Hotel, in particular the shower/water pressure and heating, both of which is haphazard. One of the key aspects of any Hotel is the ability to have a good shower and this is sadly lacking. I suspect that given the proximity to the harbour perhaps there are systemic issues with the water supply? Anyway, a good shower, particularly if you are on business, is a basic expectation.

What I find most disappointing is that despite several requests over multiple visits nothing appears to be done about it and frustratingly when I speak to reception it always appears as if I am the first person to comment on this. I would much rather they acknowledge the issue. Then either do something about it and let me know, or tell me why it can't be fixed and offer some compensation.

Dear Guest,,

Thank you for your email.
I take this review very seriously and we are trying to fix it, the former company which I used couldnt locate the problem but we have just changed so hopefully they will be successful in finding the problem which is not just the hotel but also all the private apartments.

Again I do apologize for the inconvenvience.
