“Go up the tower”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

I paid the 20DKK and took the 11.00am tour up to the top of the tower. There were 6 of us. The climb is not hard as there are various places to rest if you need to. View from the top is worthwhile especially being able to see into Tivoli Gardens.
Walk around City Hall afterwards.

“Amazing view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

It is definitely worth to visit. The tickets are not included in the Copenhagen Card, yet I highly recommend you go to see it. Obviously the weather is critical for your enjoyment of the views. You also need to be quite fit to climb to the top.
From the top you see entire Copenhagen, because of the location you can see a lot of details in Tivoli Gardens and around Stroget. On a clear day you can see the Swedish coast.
On one of the lower levels it offers you a comparison of heights to some other towers in the world putting your experience into perspective.

“A bit disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

You have to join a tour provided by the city hall to go deep inside and up to the top of the tower. And the tour is usually only held twice, one in the morning and one in the afternoon Monday through Friday. Only once in the morning on Saturdays. And it closes early on Saturdays. I didn't know any of these before I visited the city hall. You might want to check beforehand the tour is actually held when you're planning to visit there.

For these reasons my joining the tour was never realized. I could only walk around a little bit near the entrance. I will write a better review, hopefully the next time I visit there and actually complete the tour.

“Beautiful town building - worth viewing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

The Copenhagen Town Hall is a beautiful building that is newer than it looks. Built in 1894, it could pass for a building several centuries older, especially from the outside. The bells from the tower can be heard at quite some distance, and ring very distinctly inside the nearby Tivoli Gardens.

Once you walk inside the Hall, you realize just how large it really is. With beautiful painting and stained glass throughout, it really is worth the stop.

“Nice area..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

The CIty Hall is in the center of Copenhagen and is the most busy.. opp it is Tivoli and also behind it starts the shopping street (Stroget)..

Generally a nice area to hang and chill.. also behind it is Cafe Oscar which serves a mean Brunch..
