“Gastronomical Delight!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

The Torvehallerne is also known as the covered food market, and is a must for foodies. The range of food here is enormous, and the quality is excellent. If you are staying in an apartment then come here to get your supplies. If you're staying in a hotel, there are also a broad range of stalls that serve cooked food, and it's delicious!

“Anyone who comes to the city has to come here.”

This place literally has something for everyone. It's a giant indoors (and outdoors) market where you'll find stalls with everything from delicious open sandwiches to amazing tasting chocolate.

“Upscale market and food court”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

This is a very nice market that the locals frequent. There are little shops with everything you can think of - meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, herbs, wines, prepared foods, fresh fish, canned delicacies, soaps, creams, jams, cooking supplies, chocolates and candies. I liked the Bonholm shop - we took customers to the Danish island of Bonholm last year and there is a ton of artesian and homemade goodies from the island. I bought some caramels, gooseberry and almond jam, rhubarb soda and sea salt infused with local herbs. We had pasta at one of the shops which was good. Its a fun place to walk around - it is pricey but the quality is excellent.

“Danish local delicacy with southern laid back atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

Do NOT eat or drink anything before visiting this place. Show up hungry and thirsty.
Eat/taste from all the local booths or visit the cosy bistro UN MERCATO. After your meal visit the cava bar outside. Listen to Samba rythms and pay 180kr for a great bottle of Cava.
This place has so much to offer so make sure NOT being in a hurry.
I will definitely visit this place every time I go to CPH.

“Great variety of food, nice atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

I got a tip for this place from a local friend and I really liked it (I I ate there 3 times!) It is close to the Norreport metro station, in the center. Bussy square, lots of people eating, drinking, talking, kids, dogs... You can buy hot or cold meal in two glass halls. Lots of stalls with a variety of cuisines (tapas, pizza, fish and chips, salads, rooster in a baguette...) There is also possibility to buy ingredients, herb, teas, coffee, sweats, chocolates...You can have food take away, or eat it on the square (benches, pallets). It is nice there, recommend!
