A few steps from Norreport Metro station you will find a small but very comprehensive food market – yes it’s expensive but everything is prime quality and freshness - so much better than you will find elsewhere around town. Beautiful organic fruit and vegetables, fabulous delicatessen items, olives, nuts, bakery, meat and fish. We bought two very expensive eye fillet beef steaks, which the butcher packed with fresh thyme, garlic, red and green peppercorns - prepared that evening in our tiny apartment they were superb in flavour and juiciness. We went back the next day to buy succulent salmon fillets and some gorgeous gravlax.
Enjoy lunch in the upmarket “food court” – buy anything you want from any vendor, add wine and/or beer and find a spot to people watch whilst enjoying fabulous food. Yes, it’s pricey but so much cheaper (and more fun) than a restaurant lunch.
Being food lovers and great supporters of farmers' markets this was a great find.
