Owner description: For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never experience Copenhagen in this way, and they're missing out on a treat, experiencing the old city centre from a different perspective and seeing almost all the downtown attractions from the water. Canal Tours Copenhagen offer four different tours of the city, ranging from 60-75 minutes in duration, both with or without a guide. They leave from Gammel Strand and Nyhavn, with longer ones taking you as far as the Little Mermaid and out into the Oeresund Channel to the tiny fortress island of Trekroner. On Sunday and Thursday evenings during summer months there's even a 90-minute jazz cruise, with live music aboard the boat.Armed with a strong fleet of 16 comfortable boats, six of which are heated and covered, the Canal Tours takes you through a guided journey along the city s harbor and canal. At least one of the multilingual staff members is always onboard, enlightening guests on the picturesque surroundings. Choose from the various tours available. And for something unusual, go for the Dinner Cruise, where you can enjoy a delectable meal as you cruise along the waters. And if you have charted your own itinerary, then just go ahead and rent one of our boats.

“Great way to see the landmarks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

My girlfriend and I visited Copenhagen for a long weekend with the main focus being the gastronomic side of the city; however we still wanted to see the sights. A friend of ours had recommended the boat tours as a good way to see most of the major attractions in a short space of time. The trips run every 20 minutes and the guide usually gives commentary in a number of languages (Danish & English being standard). The tour lasted just over an hour and did indeed allow us to see all the major landmarks and then select if there were any we wanted to look at in more detail. Be aware though, that if you sit outside, the tour guide can be hard to hear as the speakers are quiet. Well worth taking a tour if you are on limited time.

This river trip is not short then I expect but not boring.Depends season. İnterior is warm but not clear so much. When you compare the city's expensive budget,it's not hurts so much. This city is expensive when you compare what the city gives you unforgettable!!!

“Great way to see the city!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

This was an excellent way to spend an hour in Copenhagen. We learned a lot of relevant history about the city (far more than from the bus tour) and our guide was top-notch, telling jokes along the way. The canals provided a beautiful and unique view of the city. I'd say this is a must-do in Copenhagen.

“Relaxing and Informative”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

Copenhagen is surrounded by water and so much can be seen from a canal boat. The guide speaks in three languages: Danish, English and one other (this one varies from trip to trip).

The boats run frequently and so when you turn up it's unlikely that you will have to wait long. The start location at Nyhavn is very pretty and so if you are early it is very pleasant sitting on the boat and gazing at the surrounding area.

The tour covered a good variety of interesting places and the guide's commentary was good.

The price is very good, too, for a very enjoyable hour.
We did both the boat trip and the Segway tour, if I was asked to recommend which one to do I would say – do both!

“Great way to see the city & great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

A very good way to see the city in a very reasonable time at a great price. Was great to do in the afternoon after a busy morning walking and seeing the sites. Guide was informative and friendly. The views from the boat allow for great photo opportunities and allow views not otherwise possible.
