“great culinary experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

we found the restaurant via Tripadvisor and once again we were not wrong to go for it... Great place near the water, fantastic food, very friendly staff, etc... Reservations are recommended, this place is highly wanted! Not the cheapest but worth the money...

“Above Standard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

Had the three course set meal - all courses were excellent. Elegantly presented food, good balance of flavours and textures. Great location on the river. It's a very short menu which changes regularly. The freshly baked bread comes in a brown paper bag, already cut up which keeps it warm and was excellent. Interesting balance of flavours and ingredients which on the surface may seem odd (pork loin with seaweed sauce and muscles) but deliver on taste.

“Sunday roast with a difference”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

We had a fantastic Sunday roast here, they do either fish or meat, this week it was hake or lamb, we both went for the fish, just lovely and a rhubarb 3 ways desert, not the cheapest at around £150 for 2 but well worth a visit.

“A great place to go!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014 via mobile

I can't fault this place. Food, service and atmosphere were excellent. Had dinner here on last Saturday night, lunch on Sunday and the Sunday roast on Sunday night. The only reason I wasn't back on Monday was because the place was closed :-). Loved every minute of the experience!!! The management in Ballymaloe House, Cork might learn a thing or two by visiting the Almanak.....

“Just top Quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

We had Dinner and Jazz here as the treat when our Family visited. The service is excellent had extremely helpful. The wait staff are highly educated about the food, and will return with answers to questions they don't know. The food is brilliant; decent size portions, perfectly blended flavours with a Danish theme. Yes it's pricey, but worth every penny.
