“Great deal for a place to sleep.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

In a city where everything is expensive (although lovely), CabInn Copenhagen gives you just what you need at an affordable price. The rooms are very, very small and the bathrooms are even smaller. However, on a trip where all you need is a place to rest your head and take a shower in the morning, CabInn does the trick without breaking the bank. The best features are their breakfast buffet, which is offered at an extra charge, and their parking lot/ramp, also at an extra charge. Free WiFi is also available, and there is a large lounge where you can sit and relax on the main level. There are 8 CabInn hotels throughout Denmark, and we stayed in 4 of them, each with a similar experience and a comfortable stay.

Room Tip: A room on the first floor would be ideal; it eliminates the need to ride the very small elevators...

While you can't beat the location right near the main train station, the rooms in this hotel are tiny. We knew about the space limitations going into our stay, but even so it's good no one in my family is claustrophobic. It was a good value for three people sharing one room, but one person did get shortchanged sleeping on a mattress on the floor. The room was clean and relatively bright, though, and there wasn't street noise to speak of. A free breakfast would have been nice - we didn't opt to pay extra for it but instead found a nice coffee shop in the old town that had some great pastries.

Room Tip: The 3-person rooms may be a little too small to sleep 3 comfortably - I would get a double or two do...

As long as people go to Cabinn City in the right frame of mind, then I can't see how anybody can be disappointed with this hotel. First off, it's aimed at the budget traveller, so if you want 'fancy', then look elsewhere as I certainly wouldn't take a lady here for a romantic break, but for adventurous outgoing people who see a hotel as somewhere to shower and put their head down for the night and get back out again the next day then this is ideal. In much the same way that say easyJet get's you to places with no frills, this is also a no frills hotel. That said, it does have a few nice touches that you could pay a lot of money for elsewhere, such as a balcony and location, as for me it was in the perfect location to explore from and travel to as it's right near the central station, right near Tivoli Gardens and I found I could walk to just about everywhere I wanted to visit during the limited time I was there (3 nights) from here. There's a decent sized tv with cable in the room too should you wish to catch up the news each morning and coffee and tea in the room to help you start the day. All that said, I did go as a single traveller and space wasn't a problem for me, but maybe for 2 or 3 people with a lot of luggage then maybe it could feel a bit cramped, but as I said, this adequately met my needs, well actually it exceeded them. A great hotel with a great philosophy!

We spent 5 nights there with breakfast (paid extra). The room was clean and cramped but we expected that (it doesn't claim to be a luxury hotel) and did not plan on staying at the hotel other than showering, sleeping and having breakfast (which was good). Other hotels in the area cost much more so this one is good value if you want to stay in the heart of Copenhagen without paying an arm and a leg.

I highly recommend this no frills hotel for its cost savings and location.

Identically located to use the train or to walk to the main attractions. Very clean room, a little small room and bathroom but sufficient. Great to have a kettle and coffee making facilities. Nice quality sheets and towels. Very nice modern design. And a great price for such an expensive city.

The hotel is very central (close to the Center and the Tivoli). Also, close to the train Central Station (10 minutes). Clean hotel and new room. Very nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast and dinner.

This is the second time I'm in this hotel. It's very difficult to find a cheap hotel in Copenhagen centrally located. This one can be a solution. As they say, their hotel is inspired in ship's cabs, so they are quite small rooms but enough for sleeping. We spent 4 nights.
