“Ready for its first Michelin star!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

Very good Italian restaurant in Copenhagen. It has three sets of cutlery in the 2014 edition of the Michelin guide, but my guess is that it will be rewarded a star next time. We had a five course-menu, with the wine-menu along. Delicious Italian, an real value for money. The staff is very friendly, and nex time I visit I hope they will take a little more time to present each course, and say a little more about the wine we're drinking. They were a little bit to busy this Saturday night - with all the tables booked.

“Very good italian standard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

The food is well made, beautifully presented and the dishes are well coustructed ( specially the main courses. The starters are a bit simple but tasty and the desserts perfects. A little minus, they should put the prices for the wine on the menu .... and maybe ad som good French pinots noir. A modern restaurant should to my taste have a larger vision about wine. But all in all a very nice place to eat and I would be recommending it for shure.

“Toscan concept in Copenhagen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014

We visited Cortona 22.02.2014. We had a wonderfull evening filled with culinary surprises. There is only one meny and you can choose between 5-7 courses (5 courses was enough for all of us). We had two delicious starters, antipasta, one main meal (choose between fish and meat) and finished off with one dessert (or choose cheese or both).
The food was delicious and well served and consisted of good italian products. If your idea of italian cuisine is spaghetti bolognese, go somewhere else.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull - and you have all the time in the world. We ended up spending 3 hours.
The price for the food is actually very reasonable considering the quality. (540 d.dk for 5 courses). Wine and drinks of course add to the bill.

“Pizzaria Cortona would be more appropriate”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2014

How can an Italian "Restaurant" produce so little italian style food? Had a simple three course dinner in relation with Copenhagen Dining Week (recommendable btw diningweek.dk), for starters I had over-cooked pasta drowned in tomato.
Main course was a cliche of a dish with over-salted garniture, and semi-defrosted spinach... Now you probably think - desert, how difficult can it be... Well, aparently quite difficult. The "italian" solution seemed to be half of a Kinder milch-schnitte, cut in two pieces and served nicely decorated. I am still laughiing thinking of this experience. If you have humor, or your mother in law is coming - by all means GO! If you intend to have a nice meal or impress a girl friend - Do NOT go!

“Lovely”

Memorable from the moment when the door opens. Like going back in time, where the most important thing in the restaurant is you. you can see the passion in every dish, and the waiters are attentive and friendly to all, Thank you .........
