we stayed 3 nights at the hotel . chosen via internet since the fotos looked good it
turned out to be an excellent choice.location in a normal living district with a lot of restaurants, shops and so on just around the corner and still within 5 minutes by bike right at the center or waterside.the hotel itself is not really perfect in the way of modern chain hotels but special.the room s are furnished in a colonial style a bit out of africa, very warm, lot of modern paintings mixed with traditional furniture.rooms are not large but have a balcony.the hotel is abit loud doors are old and you here them closing and so on,maintenance is not perfect but all that is not realy disturbing since one feels quite at home there
the staff is very friendly and helpful.breakfast is not included looks nice all ecologig but since we are not the big morning eaters 20 euro per person seemed a bit of a waste in our case.100 m away there are more then 3 cafes where the offer breakfast or just croissant and cafe.
also parking is available which is very important in copenhagen.the hotel also has bike to rent
we would stay there again

Room Tip: rooms to the backyard with balcony as of second floor

My wife and I stayed 3 nights the last week of June. A pleasant welcome, as we had arrived earlier than expected before rooms were ready. This was soon sorted and we were able to go to the first available. Room was a good size at the back of hotel so nice and quiet. Beds very comfortable plus had nice down duvet and pillows. Hotel was about 5mins walk to central station and the Tivoli gardens, with plenty of choice of restaurants close by. Breakfast was great, with a large Scandinavia buffet and good strong real coffee. Only downside was the American lady at breakfast on two days, who loudly regailed stories of celebrities to her listening group. she seemed to think they and rest of hotel was interested in her clap trap. Sadly hotels don't get to chose their guests !! If you are looking for a Copenhagen hotel not too far from Tivoli gardens and at reasonable rates, would recommend The Carlton.

I stayed at this place for 2 nights. It is 10mins walk away from the central train station and 15mins walk from old city. There are few restaurants near the hotel. I went to Kodbyens Fiskebar for dinner one night and Lele down the road for dinner one night. Kodbyens Fiskebar is very good, highly recommended, they have a Michelin rating. Lele is a fast Vietnamese food restaurant, not bad.
I stayed at 4th floor facing street, I didn't have any problem with the noise.

Just had a three night stay and can't fault the hotel in anyway, It was clean comfortable and ten minutes from central station but with bars and restaurants, supermarkets within easy walk a supermarket was across the road...The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable I only meet Erik on my last day but he was cheerful and friendly...most of the time I was there Gunn was working she was funny,brilliant/knowledgeable and friendly towards anyone that stayed there...as people have said the hotel is organic with sustainable towels creams and other products the organic whiskey was quite good:)...great hotel great staff I will definitely be coming back...

We arrived by car and the hotel has its own (open air) parking spaces, some located at the back of the hotel building, others in the back of the building next door. We had to book a "family" room on the 3rd floor, which was a little more expensive, but still disappointing: very basic, and the bathroom was one of the smallest that we ever experienced in a hotel within this pricerange/category.
The location is excellent as a starting point for walks in the lively area and it is also not too far from the trendy meatpacking district (with some excellent restaurants). We rented some bikes from the hotel and explored the area – it seems to be the best way to move around in the city.
Having breakfast at the hotel is an option, but there are plenty of small cafes on the same street or just around the corner...
To sum it up: we would not stay at this hotel again, the room was just not up to standards.

Lovely little hotel just 10 minutes walk from Central Station and easy walking distance to the main sights. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. They were happy to give advice on places to visits and we were able to leave luggage there and have a glass of water/ cup of tea after check out.

The hotel itself was a very clean with beautiful décor - very tasteful but with lots of character. Not bland like so many modern hotels. The rooms were a bit on the small side but have all the facilities you need and the beds were very comfortable. There are a couple of nice terraces where you can enjoy a quiet drink in the sun or shade, whilst reading a book. A nice oasis away from the buzz of the city. Free wi-fi and a computer in reception are a nice touch too.

The breakfast is a real treat with a wide variety of fresh, top quality ingredients - with natural yogurt, fruit, cereals, bread, cheese and pastries. However, at around £15 it was quite pricey. If you want to save money get room only and opt for coffee and a croissant round the corner.

There are several really nice restaurants very close by. We went to Madklubben - 2 doors down - which was great. Again, a little pricey - but we soon learnt that this is just normal in Copenhagen!

If you want somewhere quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly in a convenient location then this is the perfect place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room higher up so that you can have the windows open without too much traffic/ street nois...

We stayed 3 nights in june 2013, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. On the pictures and in the reviews, everything sounded great - and we where not disappointed! Friendly staff and a quick check in, nice and quiet hotel room and a very comfy bed. The bathroom was on the smaller side, and the only thing we missed was a shelf to put vanity bags on. The location is excellent, close to the cool Vesterbro and Kodbyen (meatpacking district) and walking distance to the center. On arrival, we where offered a tapas buffet for free!

The breakfast was quite small but to satisfaction; for ex. locally produced healthy bread, some pastries, a vast assortment of different nuts and mueslis, 2 kinds of yogurt, eco-juice, eggs, cold meat, lots of different cheeses and a huge fruit platter.

The breakfast lounge was quite crowded in the morning but there was always room and everyone was very friendly. They did not remove breakfast at 10 sharp, as many restaurants do..

The hotel is following guidelines for sustainability and ecology to 100% without letting this affect quality. I would recommend this hotell, and would gladly stay here again. If the breakfast was slightly larger, possibiliy to get a late night snack and the breakfast lounge somewhat bigger I would give it a 5 star review.

Room Tip: We stayed at the 5th floor, nice and quiet.
