“unsafe bath tub”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Slipped, fell ..6 stitches, no compensation, still waiting on incident report. No grips in tub and highly angled, tub is porcelain and very high sides.. stepped into already wet tub, slipped, hit face on side of tub, rushed to hospital, hotel was prompt in calling ambulance, staff friendly, still waiting on incident report, no compensation, very unsafe conditions. Great location, close to everything, free internet, no pool, no gym.

The room was very small but well organized and designed in terms of using space. Even though it was small I had nice space to work. The shower was surprisingly big comparing to the room size.

Bed is soft which I don't like at all the pillows were horrible.

Free Wifi at the room which is very convenient for the business traveler. Shame there is no coffee or tea in the room.
High room numbers in each floor are far from the lifts.
Breakfast was very good located on the 6th floor.
Hotel location is very good near the center (site seeing and trains).

Room Tip: High room numbers in each floor are far from the lifts.

This sparkling clean hotel is located within walking distance to Tivoli Gardens and the Stroget Pedestrian shopping street. The decor is Danish modern - feels very hip and trendy. The rooms are not huge, but they are roomy enough to include both a desk and sofa in addition to the large bed. Also included in the room are an ironing board and iron, mini-bar, and a small pot to heat water. There is no safe in the room. Wi-Fi was free and easy to access. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, but services like luggage valet are not available. (You are welcome to use the valet cart on your own.) Also, while breakfast is available (which I cannot comment on as I did not use) there is no restaurant inside the hotel. We got our morning coffee and muffins from the coffee shop located right outside the lobby door.

My biggest complaint is about the bathroom lighting. The lighting is trendy pindots in the ceiling and some base lighting around ankle level. While this is sufficient to light the bathroom, trying to apply make-up or shaving is a real nightmare as the ceiling lights directly overhead cast terrible shadows on your face. (I suggest that the hotel, at the very least, include a lighted make-up mirror to alleviate this problem.) The hair dryer is attached to the wall so you cannot move into the other room to dry your hair. Overall, the bathroom was spotless and modern and would be terrific if the lighting could be adjusted.

Other reviews of this hotel mentioned a noise level from outside. I did see two construction areas outside the hotel, but we never heard or were bothered by any outside noise. (Our room was on the second floor.) Cab service was easy to get. The airport was about a 20 minute drive and the train station was about two blocks away. This was a nice hotel in a central location and I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room on the second floor faced the movie theatre across the street and we had no trouble with ou...

Stayed here for two nights. Breakfast extra, but good, especially the herring. My room (537) was very small. When the suitcase was in place, the door to the bathroom could not fully open. The bed was very soft. They did not manage to clean my room. As a compensation they offered me free breakfast. I see no reason to return.

Room Tip: My room, 537, was diminutive.

NO BACON AT THE BREAKFAST BUFFET, and they charge you for all types of coffee except for ordinary black coffee.

Apart from that, the hotel has a good location and the rooms are of good size and standard. A little noice from the streets, but nothing problematic.

Had 2 stays there the past week. Rooms tended to be small but clean. 5" walk from Central Copenhagen train station and close to most bus lines. Hotel has been allowed to age with little attention to detail. On both stays we had to change rooms as the air conditioner was very noisy-imagine they haven't been well serviced; towels tended to be be old and thin and in one room the window was very dirty. The staff was gracious but only some of the staff members at the desk showed any interest or initiative in responding to our requests for information. These certainly aren't the qualities that one expects in a fairly expensive 4* hotel.

Room Tip: Check the air conditioning before you settle in.

Arrived soon after 10:00 to leave luggage before starting our walking tour of the city and found that our room was ready and we had immediate access, just good luck but having the room available all day was a great bonus. Very central location, ample 'continental' breakfast and very friendly staff. Good lift service. Highly recommended.
Copenhagen streets are a little disrupted by on going Metro works - until 2019 - but they did not spoil our visit, just be careful crossing roads as the traffic direction changes according to the work being carried our and the even local folk are not always sure which way to go!

Room Tip: Junior suite spacious and relaxing.
