“Nice hotel with lovely breakfast room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

We where 7 person who stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. I ordered 2 double rooms, and 1 room for three persons. I was told that a Superior room would fit well for 3 persons, but we got very disappointed since the room was cramped when the sofa was made up as a bed. I talked with the reception, and they upgraded us to a very nice Junior Suit, that was much bigger! The service at the reception was alway very pleasant, helping you with bus schedules, city maps, or guiding you to different museums or restaurants.
The breakfast room is at the top of the hotel, with a good view of Raadhusplassen. They had a big selection of breakfast dishes, and we enjoyed having long breakfast mornings gathered around the table, enjoying the food and make plans for the day.
The Square is a nice hotel, but they could take better care of their chairs both at the breakfast room and in the guest rooms. Having beautiful chairs with soft furnishings that have stains on, is not something you expect to see in a 4 star hotel!
The beds are lovely, and the bathroom filled with soaps and shampoos, but we missed some shower caps. When we asked for it they did not have shower caps, but i hope it only was temporary.
We enjoyed our 4 days stay at the hotel, and hope to come back next year.

Very poor value for your money. No WiFi in the room. Awful shower. Major construction work going on in the main square facing the hotel. There are several better alternatives in central CPH. Breakfast was ok. Location is near train station and link to CPH airport.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel !

Good size room, typical European breakfast (yummy bread and cheese). Domenico at front desk was a delight, nothing was too much trouble. All staff speak good English. One minor point - no in room safe. But we used the safe at reception. Highly recommended centrally located hotel. Very fast wifi with good connection!

The square is a very pleasant hotel right in the centre of Copenhagen. The rooms were of a nice size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.
Being on Raadhuspladsen, it is fairly central for exploring the city. The Tivoli gardens are a two minute walk away, an absolute must at Christmas, especially if its snowing, as it was when we visited.

Room Tip: Raadhuspladsen is a busy road, and can be a bit noisy at night. Would suggest you request a room on...

Free wi-fi all over the hotel and good location right next to Strøget and Tivoli. The main railway station is also close.

It surprises me a bit though that such a modern hotel hasn't organized their breakfast room better - and made it bigger. It was unnecessary cramped and I missed scrambled eggs and bacon. But the breakfast I did eat was nice, so I didn't suffer.

The Square, on the square! Located at one end of the huge pedestrianised centre of Copenhahen and close the main railway station.
Downstairs is a clean sharp white walled lobby with couches and a bar for those who wish to linger or surf the free wifi.
Upstairs is the normal high standard of Arp Hansen outfitting with high quality fittings but the room felt dark in the narrow city canyons.
Good bathroom with plenty of chrome and glass.
Breakfast is on the top floor and is very good but is spread out too much and you can wander about wondering where the spoons are!
Very good and would recommend.

Excellent hotel, partly due to lovely staff (the red-haired gentleman on reception is very kind and helpful), and partly due to its central location; it's just around the corner from the main train station, which in turn is just 13 minutes away from the airport, so it literally takes less than half an hour from leaving the airport terminal to checking in at the hotel (and vice versa). The key sights listed below are all close by, making the hotel the perfect base for exploring the city.

Room Tip: At the moment there is building work taking place on the Rådhuspladsen: the main square where you...
