“Great sandwiches, decent price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We ate here twice since the food was delicious, amply portioned and reasonably priced. Anyone who's traveled to Copenhagen knows that food prices are generally quite high, so your first meal on the town may come as a surprise. Holberg no 19 had tasty sandwiches and salads, with delicious crusty bread. The beer, wine and hot chocolate complemented the meals. A local took us there the first time. It was a short walk from our hotel near Nyhaven, and a short walk from Metro station Kongens Nytorv. Menus are available in English or Danish. Just go up to the counter and order like a native.

“Parisian style, American-owned in the heart of Copenhagen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Dig the Robert Doisneau style interior and dream yourself back to Paris in the 50's while you slowly sink your teeth into their delish sandwiches.

Tom, the owner, is from Texas, I do believe, and even though he's far from home, he sure knows how to think BIG in his own eclectic kinda way. If you're lucky you will meet some cool peeps too. And as they says in Texas: "If ya' feel any better, at Tom's, ya' might drop ya' harp plumb through the cloud!"

“A little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

Got directed here by an small article by Sophie Grabol aka Sara Lund from The Killing, published in the Guardian. Stopped for sandwiches and drinks and were not disappointed. Just 2 minutes away from the tourist trap of Nyhaven, ( which is very nice) Explained how we found the place to the owner and he explained that Holberg 19 will feature in the 3rd series.

“A little bit of a Paris Cafe in Copenhagen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

No where to go, here before office mates, didn't want a tourist trap, found it. Holbergno19 so laid back, Having just come from Paris, it felt like a little bit of home. Had a tuna melt to die for and the cafe owner is an American from Texas via New York. Great selection of wines - both red and white plus yummy olives.
