“Standard Business Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

I stayed here one night on business after it having been booked for it's location but the business partner.

I had a double room which, as often found in Scandinavia, was two beds together but with two quilts. Room was clean although the shower was small. I had a corner room so as well as the 'double' I also had an extra single foldup bed. Room also contained a desk and mini bar which I didn't use.

The restaurant at the hotel was OK, had dinner there and breakfast, with breakfast being good and the dinner OK.

I arrived at about 7pm direct form the airport and was gone by 8am the next morning however it didn't look like there was much to see or do locally so I'd not recommend for an extended stay!

Internet is free via a voucher but they were just on the reception so help yourself. I didn't have great reception in my room but in the bar/restaurant it was great.

Room Tip: Ask for a room which doesn't over look the smoking terrace.

The hotel is based next to the Ballerup Industrial park on the west side of Copenhagen about 30 minutes Taxi ride form the airport. I arrived late at night and the place was brightly lit modern appearance and welcoming.

Reception was functional but polite and I was in my room within 5 minutes of arrival which is one of my fastest check in's so far. My room was at the end of the left wing of the hotel and reached through a number of rather confusing doors and corridors. The room was a bit disappointing as it was not in keeping with the expectation set by the clean modern and bright reception area. It reminded me of a typical two star family hotel room which had last been refurbished 20 years ago. Overall my stay in the room was fine, it had all the basic facilities including a mini bar and I slept well. The bathroom was functional but basic and did not smell good so had to keep the door closed and the bedroom window open to allow fresh are in.

Breakfast is in a dining room near the reception. Buffet style fairly basic nothing interesting. The Reception / bar area is nicely decorated and pleasant to sit for a drink. Check out was also quick so well done on that.

Overall impression, Ok for one night business trip but feeling is more of tolerating the place rather than enjoying it. Not sure if my room was typical of the others in the hotel so best to check in advance.

Nothing really pulling me back for another try so I will be trying somewhere else on the next trip.

Stayed here while on business - company I was visiting was located in nearby business park which was convenient. Breakfast was ok but not many options for dinner closeby (pizza place within walking distance was average). All in all it was ok if you have to be on the area but certainly would not stay here for a longer stay or for leisure travel.
My room was at entrance side which meant that it was quite noisy if you had window open a bit for fresh air. No iron and iron board std in room - had to ask for it (which is annoying if you only realize this early morning and you want to get ready for a day at work)

They double charged us for the room, claiming it was a standard procedure, since they didn't know who or what easyclicktravel was. After a two month long discussion they finally gave in and paid back our money. However, when we asked for compensation for their incompetence, they refused and claimed that easyclicktravel was at fault (which was untrue).

If you are in this area for business, you might have to stay here . I have been here 5 times over the last 4 years and it does not get any better; It's grubby round the edges, soulless, poor value for the money, and not terribly friendly.
The food is OK, room service is non existent, and the bar closes at a questionably early hour.
It is however very close to some major business names, so if you want to spend a few minutes longer in bed in the mornings, it's the place for you.
As for me, I will be braving the traffic and staying somewhere else next time.

The hotel is in an interestingly shaped (like a slice of cake) building with an atrium looking down into the hotel reception/bar.

The receptionist was helpful and cheerful and as usul in Denmark, spoke excellent English.

The rooms are large with a comfortable chair and very clean. I got a good nights sleep on the very comfirtable bed.The bathroom was a little on the cramped side but perfectly adequate and again, very clean.

The breakfast was average in choice, but good in quality and quantity. The main thing it missed was fresh fruit salad.

I was here on business, don't think I'd really want to stay for any other reason, it was a bit souless for a romantic weekend :)

I spent another 3 nights here, having stayed a year or two before. It's not an exciting hotel --
on this trip I had a colleague with me, and he was itching to get out and explore -- but this hotel ticks my boxes: near to where I'm working; a decent restaurant and bar onsite; WiFi.

Just in case the management team is reading this: There's a massive network of cycle paths around the area, and it can be quicker than going by road, so it would be neat if this place rented bikes!
