“First time in Copenhagen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We were expecting a very budget hotel but were pleasantly surprised. Friendly welcome from receptionist, clean and spacious bedroom with adequate en suite bathroom facilities. Our view was of the courtyard and with glimpses into the apartments opposite. Even though the hotel is well situated in the city centre, it was very peaceful even with the bedroom window open. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby if you want to stock up on snacks and drinks and it's just a 10 min walk to the main train station. We all enjoyed the breakfast (selection of wonderfully fresh bread from the bakery opposite the hotel, meats and cheeses, yoghurt, cereal, juices and tea/coffee). The only slight complaint was that the room was not cleaned/refreshed during our 2 night stay but this did not cause any major discomfort.

Arriving in Copenhagen Airport I suggest you take the Metro train to Köbenhavn hovedbanegård (Copenhagen central station). When getting off the train you take the escalator up into the main hall, continue in the same direction, cross the hall and find the north exit, continue up to the big street Vesterbrogade and take left into it and cross over to the other side of the street. After about an eight minute walk you see Copenhagen Museum on the left and shortly after you find Frederiksbergs Allé on the right hand side, turning off at an angel. Another two minutes and you’ll find the hotel on the left hand side. There are 4 steps on the outside and five on the inside before you reach the reception and the lift.

Every time I stayed here I’ve got a single room facing the street but that is not a problem as the street is really quiet with little traffic. The single rooms are small but have high ceilings and are nicely decorated and clean. You will find a reading lamp on the writing table and another on the bedside table. The wifi in the room is free and works very well. If you didn’t bring your laptop along you can use the computer in the lounge beside the reception. At a cost (2 DKK per page) you can also print what you need.

The breakfast room is in the cellar but there are windows facing out to both the street and the back. It’s a knack that the lift doesn’t go down to the cellar. The breakfast is a nice cold buffet with lovely bread, fresh fruit, tomatoes and cucumber amongst other things.

I like this hotel for its cleanliness and its courteous, friendly and service minded staff. I do recommend Sanct Thomas Hotel.

This small hotel is just like hotels should be: Clean, Comfortable, Close to the centre, and Cheap.
I came here on a business trip and loved the stroll down Frederiksberg Allé to Sct. Thomas Square and its fine white hotel. Service was splendid, the air or my room terrific and the breakfast absolutely sufficient. No more is needed.

I've stayed at Hotel Sct. Thomas 5-6 times during the past year or 2 and am more thrilled with it each time. It's a quaint older place but nicely refurbished. It's super convenient (10 min walk from the train station) and always clean and orderly. The staff is super friendly, which isn't as common in Copenhagen as it could be. I've never been met with anything but smiles, and they answer emails very promptly (also something not very common for businesses here). The rooms are quite small, but all you need if you're just sleeping there anywhere (there is also a small desk for working though). Free wi-fi is another big plus. The lounge area is also quite comfortable, and the breakfast is nice, too. Again everything is clean and well serviced. I really don't think it's possible to beat the accommodations for the price, and I recommend the hotel to anyone I know needing a place to stay in CPH.

I spend 2 nights in this cosy little hotel in Vesterbros trendy neighborhood. I booked 2 rooms for me and a collegue with a nice price so I didn't expect anything else. But the hotel was clean, with breakfast included. Small room was very small indeed, but the hotel had a nice lobby area, with comfortable sofas. Only minuses are that the wifi was charged extra, they offered 2 computers in the lobby, which were free of charge in use of all.

Very nice and cosy! We will book this in the future.

Room Tip: Well, small rooms were small indeed.

I have to say that I've seen better places, but for a stay with no pretensions, it's ok. Vesterbro is a cool district, the location is good and the hotel is near to a bus stop that connects with the city center and Nørrebro in about 10 minutes. My room size was regular but the bathroom was definitely too small: the ventilation, besides, is no stop from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and if you are light sleepers it could be annoying (I'm a heavy sleeper, so no problem for me). The breakfast was regular, but just round the corner there's the wonderful 'Granola' where you can have a really good breakfast or a tasty lunch. I've loved Copenhagen from the beginnig and I spent whole days outside, so I didn't want from the hotel more than a comfortable bed to rest.
