This was a very nice hotel and I am giving it less than full marks just because it was so expensive due to the strength of Danish currency compared to the current weak dollar. It made it seem as though we didn't get as much as we paid for. But I think all hotels in Copenhagen are similarly super-expensive right now.
My husband, daughter, and I stayed here two nights (before and after a cruise) so saw 4 different rooms in total. The rooms were a good size when compared to other European hotels (though not as large as normal American ones). The first night we had standard single and standard double rooms. They were smallish (the single was smaller than the double) but nicely decorated, clean and quiet. The second night we had superior single and double rooms. These were, as far as I could tell, identical to the standard rooms but had modern bump-outs at the windows (called "bay windows" on the website) and so had a few additional square feet and more light. They were slightly more pleasant but both were adequate. The single rooms seem to in different parts of the hotel than the double rooms - in odd corners or high floors. One of them had a tiny balcony instead of a bay window.
The hotel is in an italic T shape. The top bar of the T faces the street and harbor and has what should be nice views but unfortunately right now is a view of construction on the street outside. This is where the suites and larger rooms are located. Unfortunately, from other reviews, it sounds as though there is street noise in these rooms. The stem of the T extends away from the harbor and the north side of it has an alley beside it and another building close by. I didn't see what the south side of the stem faced. All our rooms were on the north side by the alley. We did not have any problems with noise either night.
The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The hotel breakfast was excellent the one day that we were able to have it. Alas, the breakfast room did not open early enough for business on the day we were flying home so even though breakfast was included in our room rate we did not get to have it. However, they gave us some coffee and pastries to take with us so we didn't starve.
The location is good. On our arrival in Copenhagen, we took the metro from the airport to the Kongens Nytorv station and walked to the hotel. It was a reasonable thing to do though if I had to do it again I might take a cab. We had a lot of difficulty figuring out how to buy tickets. It wasn't set up for foreigners with no knowledge of Danish. We were eventually directed to the ticket office because we couldn't make our credit cards work in the ticket machines. We ate most of our meals at Nyhavn which is only a few blocks away. There is a lot to see within walking distance of the hotel.
