“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed here for a long week end to go to the Christmas market. It was an ideal location, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of fresh fruit, bacon, eggs local bread and of course Danish pastries! The service was excellent and the hotel design very stylish with lots of beams. The beds were very comfortable, would definitely recommend staying here

The lobby is clean and updated and the staff was very friendly. We were able to upgrade our room to a larger room to a lower floor but the front desk person was honest enough to tell us that there would be a holiday party going until about 3 am downstairs so we would be better off in a smaller room on an higher floor. So we stayed on the 5th floor and the room was indeed small but it worked for the night. It was pretty clean and had some charm to it with the beams in the ceiling. The bathroom however was very small so if your not traveling alone there is no sharing bathroom time to get ready. The location of the hotel is walking distance from everything and was very easy to do on foot. I wouldn't want to stay here for a couple of nights as it's just a little to small for that, but I was in Copenhagen for less than 24 hours so for me it was perfect.

We stayed here one night. It was comfortable, clean with spacious rooms. The bathroom could have done with an upgrade but the beds were comfortable and evidently the source of much pleasure if our neighbours' noises were anything to go by! (you'll have gathered that the soundproofing wasn't great). The tea and coffee making facilities were a bonus and the Wifi was good. Breakfast offered a good choice. Staff were helpful and attentive. Great location for the sights - short walk to Nyhavn and Kongen Nytorv etc.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a waterfront view.

This is certainly one of the better hotels in Copenhagen on several counts. It is well located and just far enough away from the bustle of Storget. It captures the essence of nautical Copenhagen in that it is located by the water and has been renovated from a warehouse. The rooms are fine, the restaurant is highly recommended, and the staff are knowledgable, friendly, and welcoming
Well located for the Metro, Design Museum, and Nyhaven.

I would strongly recommend the hotel for flavour of Copenhagen

Room Tip: Get a view of the water. Be aware there is building work going on the waterside which could cause so...

A very nice hotel in a central location. Came for a business conference in the Hotel. The food provided was excellent in the restaurant at lunch as was breakfast. The room was very nice and the bed was comfy. I didn't go for the sea view which I think would have made it even better.

The Admiral Hotel is always our first choice when staying in Copenhagen.

This time we had a standard room. For a standard room - it was actually quite large and with everything you need: comfortable bed and a seating area. Unfortunately this time there was a very bad odour in the bathroom which we reported to reception and they sent someone up to try and get rid of the sewage smell. It did improve. This is one of the reasons I am not giving my review 5 stars - and there are two other reasons: the safe in the room didn't work and we had to call to get it repaired and the service in the ground floor bar (on two separate occasions: for an early lunch and later for pre-dinner drinks) was slow and quite frankly - not very friendly.

The food and service in the SALT restaurant for dinner on the other hand was AMAZING! I've written a separate review on that (5 out of 5 stars!).

First stay at this hotel - usually use an International chain but the Admiral was within easy walking distance of client offices and a restaurant for later. We were upgraded to "Junior Suite" which led to some later debate about the layout: these are largish rooms with the entry level having the bathroom and a sitting area plus desk etc and TV; then up a steep flight of stairs to a mezzanine level where is the large bed, plus another TV of course. Small windows. Overall rooms were very good and nicely furnished and clean with a stocked minibar. A few disappointments like no notepaper / pens, and although tea and coffee kit provided there were no teaspoons! Nothing serious but a little odd for a good class hotel?
Bar was very pleasant as was restaurant (breakfast good ; we had dinner out) and lobby and staff very pleasant and friendly.
