“Old Meets New”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

This refurbished warehouse is located in walking distance of most Copenhagen attractions, including the Little Mermaid, Nyhavn, & Tivoli Gardens. The hotel is also walking distance to the Kongens Nytorv Metro, but not an easy walk if you have heavy luggage. Price was reasonable for a hotel right in the middle of a major European city. Rooms were comfortable, well decorated and clean. Wooden beams abound...hallways and in the guest rooms. Hotel staff was wonderful. We arrived early (after a cruise) and they checked our bags so that we could go out for the day. They also checked our bags on our check out day as our flight was in the evening. Free WiFi was strong in our room. Breakfast was adequate. Lots of fruit, cheese, and sliced meat. Our room faced the road, which was good due to the construction on the water view side of the hotel. Taxis always available out front.

Room Tip: Water view is nice....Just check on the status of the construction. If it's still in progress...

Does not hold the standard for this price and stars. Our toilet was not even througly cleaned! You can see big old stains in the carpet. Fantastic building, perfect placed but do not live up to more than that. If you can live with that this is perfect for the weekend.

Very good location close to Nyhavn. Room was warm, clean, and properly maintained. Too warm at times, and I had to choose between keeping window open or being too hot at night. Overlooking the harbour, which is heavy construction site with heavy plant. I had to be up at 06:00, which was when they start work anyway. Not a problem for me, but...

Desk area was very cramped with a serious timber right in front of it.

Spent 3 nights here from November 4th - November 7th. Fantastic position, lovely comfy beds, really clean and tidy, reception staff very, very helpful, all staff always friendly and polite. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Copenhagen. The hotel is 10 mins from metro station and you can walk to all of the sights. Little mermaid and the royal palace are almost on the door step.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor facing the Opera House, although there is work going on outside, if you a...

It's just in the baricentrum of Copenhagen. From there you reach still at walking distance the Little Mermaid and the Port area on one direction and the beginning of Vestrerbro on the other.
Nyhavn and Amalienborg ar just behind the corner. Excellent refurbishing of a big warehouse when Nyhavn was still a Port.
Wood pillars aand steady bricks give a feeling of solidity and warm comfort.
Price (at least with Comapny conventions) looked to be not that bad too compared to the extremely high prices of places like Crowne Plaza which are in the middle of nowhere.
Then why not 5 as a rate? Breakfast with inconvenient distribution of plates (fruits over salami and cheese) and low quality of fruits. Second small disillusion: no fitness facilities.
For the rest everything at the top.

Admiral looks good, and staff, for the most part were very friendly and helpful. Our room was largely paid for with Avios, so I can't comment on value, but we were made welcome nonetheless, and upgraded from a standard to a deluxe room (is, slightly larger). Room was smart, clean and comfortable. Bathroom decor a bit dated, but that is a comment on style only; everything worked very well.

The hotel happily held our luggage after checkout, leaving us free to enjoy the day in Copenhagen unencumbered. And we also liked the fact we were free to relax in the hotel lobby in the late afternoon long after we had checked out.

The only disappointing part of our stay was our arrival at breakfast. We were ushered into a cavernous dining room and left to fend for ourselves. All tables were in use, but, after a few minutes, we were able to grab one as some other diners left. Then we were berated by a waiter for making it hard for him to clean the table because we had sat down before he had done that, and also had the cheek to move some dirty plates to another table. Bizarre service, and out of keeping with the rest of our stay.

Tips: 1) get a room looking towards the water if possible (we faced the road and there was some noise - not a big deal in itself, but best avoided if possible) 2) the hotel is an easy walk from Kongens Nytorv Metro, and you can get a train direct to there from the airport.
