“decent place, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

Very good location, very next to central train station and not far away from city centre. Almost all important places are on walking distance.
Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, good value for money (at least by Scandinavian standards)

The room was basic as we expected, but reasonably clean. The hotel is close to all we needed so the location is fairly good. The shared bathroom however was a big mistake! The toilet block was shared by a lot more people than we thought it would be, (around 10-15 rooms) and it was not clean at all. There were two unisex toilets which both smelt really bad and we were shocked to see smeared faeces all over the toilet when we went to use it on the second night. We very nearly went to get a different hotel but decided to put up with it for the last night and tried to use toilets in cafes etc while we were out to avoid the hotel ones! So a lesson learnt there! Will pay more next time to make sure we are comfortable.

The hotel is two minutes from central station and central to everything. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the rooms are kept clean. Definatly value for money. We had a standard triple with own bathroom and found the room perfectly comfortable for our requirements. We also had breakfast included and again couldnt fault

The room is small and very basic but very clean and neat. The ensuite bathroom is simple and functional. There are some rooms with shared facilities. There is no complimentary beverage in the room and you have to pay for the wi-fi. However there is a desktop computer linked to a printer in the lobby for free use. That means you can print boarding pass after checking in online. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a left luggage service. Breakfast is not complimentary. Location is very close to the train station and near attraction sites. All within walking distance. No need to take the subway.

Booked a room for 4 nights for a single occupancy with shared bathroom facilities.

The rooms were tiny but functional. The shared showers and toilets were always available whenever I needed to use them. On two out of the 4 nights that I stayed, the toilet was 'out of order' as someone had dumped hand wipe paper instead of toilet paper into the pot. (This could be because the hotel hadn't replenished adequate toilet paper in the bathroom.)

The plumbing in the sink in the room needs to be checked. Water would take long to drain which was a little inconvenient at times.

The internet costs are high but then I'm sure if you really are going to use wifi, then you can pay that price as the rooms are so cheap by Danish standards.

The breakfast was DKK 65 which was very expensive for the minimal spread available. I had breakfast on two days and thought it was a waste. There were only oranges for fruits and no apples or bananas.

There was a selection of cold cuts and soft boiled eggs but nothing for vegetarians except cereal, one type of cheese and bread.

The coffee had to be had in the breakfast room and they had no provision for 'to go' cups. The hotel must understand that some of us on business trips may not have time for that much needed cup of hot coffee at 6am and with minus 8 degrees outside. So, why not make this available for our convenience?

I've stayed at several hotels in the area and paid high prices but next time it will be Nebo as it's cheap, clean and functional.

Mr. Peter and Mr. Christian at the front desk were always kind, polite and willing to help with all possible questions and requests.

The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from Central Station. The check-in staff were friendly and helpful. The room (a single) was very small and filled with tired, dated fixtures and fittings. The shared toilets and showers were clean. The cold buffet breakfast is just fine and the dining area is pleasant. The cost of WiFi is outrageous - KR50 (£5.50) a day. Unless you need to make heavy use of it, it is far better to nip across to the station and use the free WiFi in MacDonalds! By Scandinavian standards the hotel offers good value for money - just don't expect any luxuries!

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the rear courtyard are quieter than the ones overlooking the main road.
