“Very modern hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Nice view from rooms, The rooms are renovated with modern decorations. It has a good location in the city, near to the Central Railway Station and to the famous street Ströget but also on a quiet street so you could sleep without any disturbing noise. Very helpful staff.

Was there for a business trip. Location is excelent near Tivoli and two blocks from train station. Several restaurants at a walkin distance. Breakfast and Wi-fi Internet included. Gym is ok. The negative part is the cleanliness of the rooms.. spiders are inside the room if you open the windows. They are even in the gym and lobby areas. I would recomend to the hotel an investment to solve this issue as soon as possible. When this was reported to the staff they seem familiar with the complaints and not much help you get from them.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view room or if you can afford it a higher floor room. Best views of center CPH.

I had a group staying here recently, in a mixture of rooms over several floors. My only complaint would be that the single rooms are very small, the others are of a good size. I've read some reviews and I'm not sure what people expect sometimes. Things such as check in times and rooms not being available, this is not unique to this hotel, city or country, it is common place. If you want the room to be available early, guaranteed, you generally have to pay for it, thats how it goes. We stayed at the hotel twice on this visit and on both occasions were well looked after. Food in the restaurant was of a very high standard and breakfasts excellent. Rooms are decorated in a very modern and funky fashion, some almost resembling Andy Warhol type styling. Bathrooms were clean and showers excellent. The hotel is only a short stroll to Tivoli gardens, the Glypotek museum and the start of the pedestrian mall Stroget which takes you through to Nyhavn...if you don't mind a good walk, and plenty of shops on the way.

Room Tip: Ask for a room either facing Tivoli or the Lakes. The location is quiet anyway so traffic noise was...

Am I in a hospital or is that just scandic. Room is tiny and uninviting but clean and functional. The reception area is like a shopping mall and the lounge is as cosy as a fridge. The staff are quite nice though.

Since its renovation this hotel has improved dramatically.
I had a superior room on 15th floor, fantastic views of the city. The room was clean, nicely presented and big enough for me.
I'm not sure single beds sheets etc are for eveybody but the bed was comfy enough.
I turned off the Air Con as too noisy.
Wireless internet easy to access and fairly quick, irons in the room
Good buffet breakfast lots of choices.
It was very busy but then it's a big hotel!

Room Tip: Great views higher up.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

We booked the hotel after our cruise and arrived around 10am.
Went to the reception and asked if we could check-in. We were told our bookings were there
( 2 single rooms ) and check-in was normally 3 pm. The receptionist on duty ( shiftleader )
said " The rooms are not ready but if you pay me 200 Krone for each room you can have 2 other rooms now "

We said no and would wait. ( I have never had to pay for early check-in before ).

we came back at 12 noon and both rooms very ready and on the 17th Floor. Wonderful views over Copenhagen.

The rooms are very small, bathrooms also small with just a shower.
Breakfast is only ok but with a good selection of breads.

Hotel is very busy with people from all over world.

For my next visit I would choose another hotel.
