“Nothing exceptional but it works.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

The location was right by where I needed to be, otherwise I just used the room for sleeping. It works. The room is decent sized, but it's quite noisy with the church clock going off at all random times throughout the night as well as a steady pounding of a nightclub. You also hear people shutting doors in the hallways. Also the hallways creak and and the floor sort of gives way under you a bit as you walk.

Staff were pleasant, though when they found out I was Norwegian started speaking to me in Danish even though I'd started the conversation in English because I don't speak or understand Danish so well- I would have preferred if they had kept going in English.

Breakfast was good, it had some warm things, eggs, soggy chewy bacon, mini sausages, and plenty of cold things, a good selection of bread and fruit, coffee, tea and juice. Nothing was ever empty, which was good.

They get a big plus in my book for the free Wi-Fi. Gets a minus for the noise, though I slept well enough in the bed, which was comfy. Rooms were very clean as well. Overall, it works if you need a place to sleep for a couple of nights and this happens to be close, but I wouldn't spend a week here.

Also, looking out of my room I faced a giant poster with a weird motif, a lady in high stockings and a mini dress facing a pissoir, which apparently advertized the nightclub across the street. It made me wonder what kind of club it really was, and was just a weird view to get.

Just spent 3 nights at the Hotel Twentyseven in Copenhagen. This is a very good hotel at a good price to explore the city from. It is comfortable and clean with good showers. The rooms are not huge and are furnished simply ( very IKEA like! ) - however, all you need on a busy city break! Yes, you can hear the bells as other reviewers have noted - these start at 8am and finish at midnight! -again if you are on a busy city break, this should not be a problem! The breakfast in the hotel were buffet style and there was plenty of choice-cooked items, yoghurts, pastries, cold meats and cheeses! The yoghurt with granola and honey was a particular favourite with our group!! There are a few bars and restaurants close to the hotel, the only disappointment was that there is no longer the ice bar, although it is still advertised on the hotel details through the company we booked through! All in all - a very good base to explore wonderful wonderful Copenhagen!!!!!

We stayed here for 2 nights during our stay in Copenhagen. The hotel is hip and trendy but the rooms are very basic.
Very expensive for what u get. I was expecting at least tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but no nothing at all.
Our room was situated at the front of the building so late at night it got quite noisy with the drunken revellers from other bars and clubs. Also the chimes from the church clock on the hour every hour are really annoying.
Great shower, very powerful and plenty of hot water.......however each time my husband and I did shower, we flooded the bathroom as the drainage system was very slow.
Staff are pleasant and very helpful but very expensive for such a basic place to stay.

We paid a lot for a superior room for 3 nights. We were expecting a bigger room (our fault for not checking!) - it turns out that a superior room means you get some crisps & chocolates included, on the first night only. The rooms are small. The double bed was small & felt more like a bed in a hostel rather than a hotel.

Breakfast space is too small, given the number of guests.

They also were doing work in the hotel on Sunday evening, finishing at 6pm. And starting promptly at 8am on the Monday morning. This was very noisy drilling & banging (our room was on the top floor).

It seems they spent all the money on the ground floor - bar, wine room etc. Great location tho'.

Room Tip: Can't reccommend it, unless you get a very cheap deal.

Upon arrival, I was 'amused' by the minimalist Danish design attempt. However, even though a fantastic location, quite expensive for what you pay for. . . The fact that the bathroom door isn't really a door makes the I-don't-use-curtains-culture-so-everyone-knows-I'm-not-hiding-something weird. Bathroom privacy should be a bit more obligatory than a brushed-off trend for those with class. Otherwise, the rooms were fine, if you don't mind the simple back-in-university feeling. The BIGGEST flaw for this hotel however is the service. The front desk staff, one in particular, was beyond rude and literally yelled at me when I asked why the hotel screwed up with my billing and please fix it. Needless to say, my bill was not rectified and I will NOT return to this property.

While the hotel is pleasant enough, clean and has a nice modern interior with decent enough space and very comfy beds...this doesnt matter because you just wont be sleeping if you come here on a Friday-Saturday. Place has its own club 9open til 2am) on the ground floor which it doesnt advertise on website, but worse still there is a club down the road which is deafening and only closes at 5am. Staff were very polite and friendly and you feel that whoever works the weekend shift must really earn there money with constant complaints about the noise.
We were moved to a quieter room on our 2nd day - on request - but would not come here again on a weekend. Best to avoid if youre with elderly, young children or wanting more than a few hours sleep.
