“Good location, relaxed, comfortable and value for money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2010

This is a very good value for money city centre hotel with easy access to central Copenhagen, all the sights are within easy walking distance and the hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from the central station.

All the staff were very helpful and welcoming, everyone speaks excellent English. Breakfast buffet is good if a little crowded, the evening supper is included and very welcome but is not dinner, you may need a top up.

All areas of the hotel are spotless and very comfortable. Tea and coffee with fruit is on a free vend all day in the lounge which has an easy homely feel. Rooms are vey clean and comfortable with all amenities apart from a safe. Bathroom was newly refitted and well appointed but the shower lacks power.

We had a room on the first floor front which was a bit noisy late at night. This together with the bright lights focussed at the front of the hotel making the room feel like daylight I would suggest ask for a room at the back for a better sleep.

Overall a highly recommended hotel for a city break in Copenhagen, good location, relaxed, comfortable and value for money.

Just spent three days at the Hotel Mayfair Copenhagen and it's definately a place we'd stay again on our next visit. Conviently located three blocks from Central Station (exit out the back) on a quiet street. Hotel Staff was very friendly (especially the night staff). Room was nicely appointed, on the small side (though larger than what you'd find in London). Nice bathroom (w/shower). Our room was on the third floor, street side and we enjoyed quiet evenings with little noise. No safe in room but there was a small fridge. Good closet space. Price included buffet breakfast (eggs - scrambled or hard boiled, assorted breakfast meats, cheeses, breads, bacon, small weiners, etc). Also included light fare for dinner (emphasis on light) - though it was sufficient to stave off hunger. Note: at dinner you have to pay for drinks (cokes were 25DK, you can bring in your own that you buy at various places for less). Also offer fruit throughout the day and tea/coffee in the nicely appointed lobby. Free internet with two computers just off the lobby and a room to store luggage if you get in early or want to leave it there after checkout (noon) for late departures. Overall for the price, I'd rate it 54 out of 5.

Very good value for the money. Location is fine, just around the corner of the sentral station. Cute room , nice decoration, very nice art work in the mail area. The afternoon food offer was sufficient as a dinner. Breackfast was fine ( but come early). Good service all over and a very nice backyard, were one can sit. I would come back !

The hotel is clean and friendly in a great location, breakfast is plentiful and set us up for full days out in the city. It was nice to have a coffee and cake available in the afternoon at no extra cost. We didn't try the included evening buffet but it looked popular. We were nervous of the location, but it's great for exploring the ciy and beyond with the train station around the corner. If you turn right out of the hotel you're on the main drag. Turn left and you do venture into the red light district which wasn't a worry to us. During the day it was a safe and interesting neighbourhood, and there's quirky shops. The rooms were clean and everything worked. It was good to have a DVD player in the room, and the TV shows Premiership, Champions League, European leagues and domestic football.

Very nicely furnished room, excellent location near the main station, and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Having tea and coffee available all day in the lounge is a very good idea.
My only small complaint would be that the breakfast buffet area is too small for the number of guests. It was very crowded each morning, with queues for the coffee machine, and too many items were squashed into a small corner of the buffet area. However, I would still recommend the hotel, and would stay there again.

Our rooms on the top floor were very hot due to the weather so we had to sleep with the windows open.
There were a lot of loud people up very late / early.
The rest was just as good as the other reviews have described.

A five minute walk from Central Station. Small room, but modern, clean and in excellent condition. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Wireless internet access, breakfast, coffee, and a small dinner buffet included in rate. All attractions were within walking distance. Would gladly stay here again.
