Restaurant is very central with great atmosphere, friendly, smiling staff. Great interior design, from top to bottom, the kitchen is open and is in the dining area, which is always awesome (in my opinion). We were seated by the bar stand facing the window. Currently, there is a big construction going on right outside the restaurant and the view wasn't particularly great, but nevertheless, it did not affect our experience in the restaurant. The waiter was nice and seemed knowledgeable, persistent, but delicate on persuading us to order more, and/or to order alcohol drinks. Dinner we had was four different dishes and two desserts. One problem that we had is the menu had very very basic description of a dish, like "SPINACH LIGHTLY STEWED WITH UNRIPE ELDERBERRIES AND GLASSWORT", and when got the dish, there were more (important) components that were not listed in the menu (like cheese). The portions were a decent medium size. Pork belly with black truffle and artichoke chips was complex in flavors, although presentation looked a bit "sloppy". The charcoal tenderloin of beef with beetroots was the best piece of perfectly cooked steak we had seen in a while, but the dish was a bit too acidic and lacked a crunch element to tie it together (two components of the dish were soft (beetroot and steak)). For dessert we had caramelized mango with coconut sorbet--the sorbet slipped off the mango by the time the plate hit the table, and the mango was much too acidic, and passion fruit tart with white chocolate--wish the presentation was a bit more up a notch, but the concept was cool.
One final note that somewhat kicked down the total impression of the evening was the pay time and the waiter. We had cash and card to pay with, mostly cash, remainder on card (we were leaving the next day and didn't want to keep danish kroners). The waiter got slightly confused as it seemed, we paid with cash, and asked to put a remainder (without tip) on the card, and from the expression she had on her face, she was not happy, she (might have) though that we would not leave a tip, which of course we did with the remainder of the cash we had left. Anyway, the evening was nice and a bit adventurous, with secretive menu, unpredictable dishes, and good atmosphere.
