“Best Oysters!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2014

Came here during my visit to Copenhagen.

Ordered 1 of each kind of oysters (Limfjorden, Boulogne Sur Mer, Ireland, Normandy and Bretagne). They were simply amazing! So fresh, so flavoursome and you can really taste the distinct differences among all 5 types of oysters. It was a joy to taste quality food during an exhausting Europe trip.

Highly recommend!

“Delicious Delicious Delicious !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

In a nutshell this is one of the best seafood meals i have EVER had!!! The food definitely deserves a Michelin Star, and so does the casual but spotless highly attentive service. Cool, urban, warehouse feel - a charming contemporary modern seafood temple.

“Købyens Fiskebar 01/02/2014”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

As its name suggests, there was a bar in the middle of the large open plan restaurant. Upon arrival, there was a glass window where you could peer into the chefs from the outside. They too, seemed pretty busy. Eric and I were both captivated. We ordered a bottle of the house white and first, two cold dishes:
Scottish razor clams served with a tarragon mousse, roasted hazelnuts, on a bed of fennel. The shells of the clams were also edible and were made of rice paper. This was the real star of the show.
My dish, that I had so been looking forward to, hand dived sea urchin, was not quite as stellar as I had hoped. It came with some kind of foam wilted spinach, but it didn’t sing (to put it in the words of Masterchef). I was also slightly disappointed not to have the urchin served in its shell, okay, not that disappointed but still, it was still amazing. Anyway, then we had our medium courses. Eric ordered a squid cooked in osso bucco, with beetroot. It was perfect. I had the scallop and sweetbreads, which again was out of this world.
As you can imagine, the portions were very small, so we ordered a big pot of moules to share. They were great, cooked in cider, served with small cubes of potato and celeriac. The whole experience was fantastic.
The place also had very interesting loos, kind of industrial style and mirrors on all walls, made it a very disorientating effect where you didn’t know which one was the loo.
I thoroughly recommend this place if in Copenhagen.

“Casual setting, amazing food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

It's always great when the food is fantastic, and the setting is casual. Cool vibe. Very fresh, very good seafood. Simple but amazing. A must visit if you are in Copenhagen. Good value for an expensive city.

“Even the Middle Aged love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

We, two UK ladies in their 50s, were ushered to seats at the coffee bar, right outside the kitchen. We had the most wonderful evening. We could see the frenzy in the kitchen between 7-8pm, and when it was over the staff would wander out and speak to us. Everyone was really, really friendly. The food was delicious; we would order BIG next time, rather than MEDIUM. All in all it was a fantastic evening out.
