“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

This was a nice hotel in a good location though if I were to return to Copenhagen I would probably stay somewhere more central to the city center. This was close enough but a long walk to and from the major sights. The breakfast was outstanding and the room was nice - although too hot! Even on low the heat was way too high with no AC. Tip: ask for a corner room, much bigger!

Nice hotel, but probably geared more toward the business traveler. Having just left a small boutique hotel, this seemed big and impersonal. However, all of our requests were accommodated and the concierge on duty was always helpful. We had 2 family rooms, which were large and allowed us to spread out. Each room had 2 bathrooms, which was great, especially with 3 kids sharing a room. The bathroom seemed a little dated, but it was totally fine. And breakfast was very good with a large variety to satisfy all of my kids! The gentleman that seated us at breakfast was fabulous. After the first day, he remembered what we each drank and asked if we would like the same drinks as the day before. This is a big hotel, so that was charming to know he actually remembered us. Very convenient location too. No complaints about the hotel. I think I just like smaller hotels better!

The radisson blu royal is clean, central and comfortable. It is ideally located near the center of the city. Convenient access to the train, metro and bus lines. The rooms are clean, comfortable and good sized for European standards. The concierge services, Mario and the rest of the team, have been exceptional in their local knowledge and follow through on requests. They have been a lifesaver. The business center is convenient . I would certainly stay again.

Stayed here on a business trip last month.
Location? Great, right in the centre of town. However, that does mean noise, and lots of it.
You are on the corner of a major traffic junction, next to a train station and right by a busy bus stop. Should have taken ear plugs.

The room was good, very comfy bed.

The last and most concerning thing was about food; 2 mornings running the breakfast was atrocious. Staff seemed unable to cope with the number of guests staying. I asked for ( and did not get) coffee both mornings, staff just forgot. The 'hot' buffet just wasn't. Who wants luke warm scrambled eggs? Resorted to drinking nasty juice from a dispenser and boring Danish pastries.
This aspect of hotel really spoilt it for me. Will not return on my next trip to the city.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor away from the noise!

Right next to central station which made airport train and visit to malmo very easy. Lobby is smart but rooms slightly dated and quite small - low ceiling heights make them seem a bit dingy. Comfortable and clean, though, with excellent views of the city.

A long walk to get to some of the better areas - eg nyhaven and christiansborg - but right next to interesting vestboro district.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor

The rooms have been refurbished and refurnished but are still very much 'Arne Jacobsen' - two small egg armchairs and a classic dining chair for the desk. Light. elegant and airy, with cool greens and blues and light wood; greenish glass lines the hallways. Modern, chic comfort, nothing brash or ostentatious. Nice view over the Tivoli Gardens. Very handy for the Central Station and the train to the airport too.

The hotel location is really perfect: right at the edge of the center of the city, walking distance from the train station, across of the Tivoli Park, next to the sightseeing bus stop, and good restaurants all over! One can save a lot of time and money using the train to/from airport. The hotel corridors and rooms are decorated with a lot of pale blue glass, which I did not like. The bed I had was too soft, but it did not disturb me to have a deep night sleep. The breakfast we had was very rich with vegetables, fruits, bread, cheese, omelet and sausages. Do not forget to ask for a double espresso (comes in a very nice size)! I was less impressed with the lunch served in the hotel (during the sessions we had). The meeting rooms are well equipped and very functional. General note for visitors to Denmark – very expensive!
