“Nice experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

Stayed for business..Check-in experience: Very pleasant, Room: Very pleasant, Breakfast: Very pleasant (lots of varieties, bit different, fresh), Bed: Best in class! Fell asleep like a baby, and usually have a hard time sleeping when at business trips

2-3 grocery stores nearby, nice view over the park.. Only two obstacles..

The hotel is a little off, if you want to be "close to Nyhavn" or "City center".. Also, the room I had was newly renovated, and smelled of paint.. Upstairs people were drilling early in the morning .. Since I was going up anyway at 07:00 it didn't disturb me, but if was there for vacation, it would have..

Would definitely stay again!

We have stayed here for years, basically because the price has been fair and there is parking in front. But the hotel is not keeping up to date. There is no mini-safe in the room, you have to keep any valuable stuff by the concierge, you get a key and a strict warning that if you loose it you have to pay 1700 DK! There is almost always a queue at the reception, the breakfast is basic and not great compared to what other hotels offer in scandinavia at this price level. The room was not clean, thin layer of dust on everything not in daily use, the refrigirator was plain dirty inside! A pub meal in the lobby came with fries both overfried to dark brown/black and soggy with oil, a combination normally not possible. The hotel is not very central in town, and when the standard is not improving it's time for us to leave.

Room Tip: the higher the better

This hotel is well located, but is a good 20 minutes plus walk from the city centre and the Tivoli. I stayed here for 2 nights in June – the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I did have dinner in the Thai restaurant in the hotel and while the meal was OK it was a bit pricey for what you got. The only problem I had was the WiFi was not working properly. Well worth considering.

Radisson Blu hotels tend to be solid choices in the Nordics. If you want something nice but not too expensive but still near Tivoli and the main train station, this is a good choice. Train station is about 20-25 min walk away, as is Tivoli. Taxi ride is about 600-900 DKK (roughly £6-9 or $10-15 USD) to Tivoli. Taxi to airport is about 300-400 DKK (£30-40 or $50-60 USD). There is a public transport option, but I was told it involves at least one change - but if you don't mind that, you can get to the hotel on the public transportation.

Pros:
- Staff is very friendly and accomodating. When I checked in, I realised they had made a mistake and had me checking out a day too early; the woman at check-in sorted it out in no time
- Really good sushi restaurant on-site. Very friendly service
- Nice location - near Tivoli, not too far from airport
- Decent size rooms, great views!
- Great blackout curtains and nice lighting controls (easy to use)
- Lots of outlets (yay!)
- All staff speak brilliant English

Cons:
- Near a gas station - not exactly picturesque
- No gift shop I could find, just two stores selling men's suit clothes
- Casino on site, so it attracts typical type casino customers
- Pillows and bedding not the greatest. Bed comfortable, but pillows too soft to get comfortable
- Housekeeping inconsistent; twice my shower head was inexplicably turned so that when I turned the shower on in the morning, water sprayed all over the toilet
- Should be complimentary water in room
- Room service food not great and EXPENSIVE (also, how does one screw up french fries? Ask this hotel, because they did)
- Breakfast very disappointing. Layout confusing and congested - and too few offerings for too many people. I was stressed out every morning fighting the tourists to get to the food. Fruit/healthy options very limited. Service to get coffee slow and disappointing.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking the water - GREAT view of Copenhagen!

Recently visited this hotel on a business trip. The hotel did not have air conditioning but a cooling system. We opened the window and turned on the fan which was nice but the weather was also cool out. We had a junior suite and a fairly new renovated room. The room and the hotel was very clean. In the morning some of the construction you could hear but it was not bad. All of the staff was very accomodating and went beyond the norm to help us. Especially Casper at the Conceige desk and Vidor(sp) one of the managers. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The walk from the hotel was further than we thought but not too bad. They also had bikes that you could use.

Room Tip: The higher the floor the more renovated rooms you will find.

Good location to walk to the centre an decent views across CPH, but expensive for the quality of room and bathroom

Restaurants are ok but again expensive...

Difficult to look past the poor quality of room and bathroom including two sets of (small) single beddings instead of a double duvet...
