I stayed here for four nights in June with my wife. Being so close to the railway station (Osterport) is a blessing, and a curse. It is convinient to have excellent public transport connections just next to the hotel, but the train noise was annoying. There is no air conditioning, but in our room it was possible to open the window - but we had to close it for the night, because of the train traffic only a few meters from the window. Although the noise wasn't bothering us when the window was closed, sound isolation was good enough.

The service reminded me of the Soviet Union twenty years ago: no smiling. Well, that could be just me, of course. The breakfast was between good and very good. Room was clean and nice, but there was an odd smell in the corridor. The hotel in all was very tidy and clean.

Nice bonuses were couple of computers with free internet access in the lobby, and a free coffee machine.

This hotel was in a good location, right next to the train station, making public transportation convenient. The breakfast buffets were also very good. I had several problems with this hotel, though. First, it was extremely hot while I was in Copenhagen (major heat wave) and there was no airconditioning, nor could you even open the windows. I was on the side facing the train station and the windows were completely sealed shut. So I roasted in my room for 3 nights. Another problem was the outdated decor and inferior anemities. The first room I moved into, the shower did not work. So I asked to move to another room, only to discover that this room didn't even HAVE a shower. At that point, I just kind of gave up. It was also noisy being close to the trainstation and with lots of loud, drunk people.

Stayed here for a night on a business trip and had booked a superior room facing away from the railroad tracks.

Check-in was smooth and efficient. Perhaps too smooth, as some of my colleagues didn't catch the information that breakfast wasn't included. However, that was eventually sorted out without quibbles at check-out.

The room was a perfectly good three-star hotel room. The only strange thing was that the airduct was blocked with large amounts of rolled up toilet paper. I guess somebody had been disturbed by the noise and that the cleaning staff hadn't noticed it. The bed was good, and I slept like a child.

Breakfast was rather basic, but again just fine for a three-star hotel.

Best thing of all; there is complimentary wireless Internet access; just ask for a voucher at reception.

I'll definitely use this hotel again when I have business in that area of Copenhagen.

Stayed here with a friend for 7 days in the end of July; and had a great time.

The staff are fantastic - very friendly and do a great job; from the bar staff to the bottom.

Bathroom was very clean with a good solid pressure shower; certainly a bonus. Free lobby internet was a friendly touch.

Cannot comment on breakfast, as it seemed expensive.

Osterport is great location-wise - you can walk to central in 15ish minutes. You're just around the corner from the statens musem for kunst. It is a seemingly quiet area of town, but there's a few good supermarkets / italian takeaways / bars and places of interest, quite nearby.

The big downer was of course, the rooms running flush next to the Osterport station. It's noisy. If you are a light sleeper then this will mean trouble.. so much so i'd recommend somewhere else. If you're not, then it's tolerable.. in fact you sort of get used to it

Interestingly, very hard to find a laundry from here. (the hotel service is terribly expensive).

But again, it is comfortable, very cheery staff, great location and hence, quite good value.
