“Traditional Danish Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

Wanting to try a traditional Danish lunch and being around Nyhavn we were lucky to get a table here without a reservation. We tried two Smorrebrod each from the long menu, both sampling a different herring one and found them to be very tasty and well presented. We also completed the experience with a glass of Snaps each. Service was friendly and we enjoyed the experience.

“Amazing food and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014 via mobile

We were in Copenhagen for the weekend and this restaurant was recommended to us by a walking tour guide. We wanted some Danish food and he suggested we try this for lunch. It was fantastic. We had three dishes to share between two of us and they brought them to is separately so we did not need to divide up! The waiter was excellent and recommended schnapps to go with the dishes. The food was delicious. Really pleased we went on the free Copenhagen walking tour and met Daniel otherwise we would never have found this gem! Thank you!

“Tasty food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

We were in Copenhagen on vacation. It was a cold, rainy day. We entered the restaurant and found everyone to be very helpful and nice. The hot green tea was very smooth. The special of the day was a potato dish that was very tasty. The rhubarb crumble with licorice ice cream was very good. The presentation of the food was delightful. Would definitely go there again.

“Good for trying Danish Smørrebrød”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

We were recommended this restaurant to try some real Danish Smørrebrød (open sandwiches). The restaurant is very busy and you need to make a reservation. It’s located just by Nyhavn in a small basement with great atmosphere. There is no outside seating. The a la carte is only with Danish Smørrebrød and you are supposed to try out a few to share or for yourself. However, we found them to big and one order each was enough for lunch for us. One dish is around 80-150dkk depending on content. The dish we had was really nice, bread, shrimps, some fish and other condiments. A good restaurant to try fancy Danish Smørrebrød.
