“Luxury experience in apartment hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

We had a long weekend break in copenhagen and charlottehaven was a great place to stay. We have a one year old and having the amenities of a fully equipped apartment was great. It also has a really nice restaurant (amazing brunch) and state of the art gym. The staff went out of their way to make our stay better, for example booking a car on Sunday at short notice and having it dropped off to us. They brought us cup cakes on our first night. The hotel is a great base to explore copenhagen and also the areas to the north such as louisiana art museum. Just know it is a long walk from the town centre but it is in a very nice neighbourhood itself. There is a train station nearby which only takes 10 min into the town centre. The interior of the hotel is really cool and if you are a fan of danish design and architecture you will not be disappointed.

We stayed for 8 days after a Norwegian cruise and found that it had all the advantages of having your own apartment, plus the advantages of a hotel with reception and helpful staff. On top of this, it is 2 minutes from the Nordhavn Station, has a swimming pool and gymnasium and is in a quiet suburb. The rooms are large, clean and have storage and very good quality appliances. It was a great way to finish a wonderful holiday. I would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers not to be right in the centre of the city and likes a bit of space.

Charlottehaven seems to have a business plan that works all the time. We use the place for summertime stay-overs in Denmark and i have used it as hotel as well. And every time you are welcomed professionally but still with a great portion of human sense by the staff, who are always helpful and friendly.
We have used both the Penthouse and the "smaller" flats and both types are really top class. Clearly the Penthouse takes you to top floor with perfect views and lots of space incl two terraces, but the smaller flats don't leave you in the "dark" as they have plenty space and single terrace as well. The quality of beds, kitchen, furniture is in the high end range and with a high quality air-conditioning you can control temperature as you wish....absolutely recommendable.

We had to stay there for month and felt anxious until the morning we got there. Our plane landed at 6 am and we arrived fully jet lagged at 7 am. The staff offered us a latte first and then presented us to our fabulous apartment even if it wasn't 3 pm as usual with hotels. We felt welcomed!

We took advantage of the free gym classes and yoga classes, wonderful! The gym is high class level. The pool is great for laps although we did not have enough time to go. Thank you to the team of staff!

The subway or train is not even a 5 minutes walk and then you are in the heart of Copenhagen where you can freely drink wine and beer by any canals or at any squares and listen to music during their Jazz Festival! What a civilized country!

We traveled to Copenhagen for business and had to choose the hotel near to a our institution so we didn't had a options, but...this place is really nice. The apartment -type hotel in a very quiet and peaceful area of Copenhagen where rooms are clean and all needed equipment are provided.
Nice staff. WiFi connections in every apartment.
Everyday breakfast isn't good, buy the weekend buffet is worth to try.
The hotel have an ideal location from point of public transport: there is a train station (Norhaven) near to the hotel about 5 min(or less to walk). Trains operate in 10 min. interval and can take you to the city center after 1 or 2 stations( about 15 min or less).
Will stay there if have had to travel to Copenhagen again .

The Charlottehaven is just perfect. Super clean, well designed, friendly staff and great location. It seems like lots of people stay in the week for work and we were a bit unusual because we were just there for a long weekend. Don't let that put you off at all. The location is right by the station and bus stop, very easy to get around but nice and quiet after a day of sightseeing. Having an aperitif on the balcony before going out was lovely. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We joined our three student age kids for a long weekend in Copenhagen. This proved an excellent solution. Close to the centre, peaceful surroundings away from the noise, easy direct train in to the City meant location was very good. The flat was great and spacious for our needs (two bedrooms and a dining area plenty big enough to accommodate the five of us for a sit down dinner). Had the weather been better, we could have easily sat on the terrace to enjoy breakfast. They offer a "welcome pack" with all the basics necessary to survive. We ordered an excellent meal from the restaurant and enjoyed it in the room as if it had been served in the restaurant itself. We enjoyed a birthday brunch in the restaurant too (don't forget to book). The facilities include a nice pool and fitness centre. what more would you want? All in all a good solution for families or a refuge for businessmen staying for a short period.
