“2nd stay not as good as first stay a year ago”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Pros
- Upgrade to 23rd floor was worth the money for the non obstructed view
- Room was clean, but not the bathroom
- Good interior and high standard all over
Cons
- Bathroom was not clean and well maintained. Shower head was big, but very little water came out because of lack of cleaning. Soap shelf not cleaned well and drain in sink did not work.
- Unfortunately the maintenance is to low to maintain the superb level a year ago.
- Breakfast area is on the small side and get crowded easily to accommodate 814 rooms people. The food tends to have industrial touch.

Room Tip: 23rd floor has a really good view

Crisp cool design in an amazing twin tower .
We booked two rooms , both had clear views over the city which is about 5 miles away.
The hotel is part of a conference centre on the edge of the city in an area developed for business.
We enjoyed a substantial breakfast menu which was served in a large refectory. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient.
Bedrooms are smart mono chrome with electric sun blinds and blackout blinds.Full length windows ensure a heady view over Copenhagen's flat landscape.
A comprehensive mini bar with prices that match a four star hotel in a very expensive city.
We ate at the restaurant once and enjoyed a cocktail in the Sky Bar on the 23rd floor. Prices ensured that once was enough - although quality of produce and service were excellent.
The great advantage of the hotel is the short walk to both bus service and metro- both providing a direct link to key parts of the city.
We bought single travel tickets each day 24 kr for a single journey(about £3) rather than the recommended travel card - which we felt would have been a waste of money. The travel card could also be used for museums but as a number are free it seemed unnecessary.
We didnt use the Spa facility - we were a bit confused - it seems you have to pay extra for the service - a daily rate which again was very expensive.(this is a disappointment as most hotels include the spa /pool facilty within the cost of the booking.- i think there may have been a complimentary session for hotel guests but i didnt spot this until the night before we left and it still was not clear. The spa faciltiy certaily was not 'sold' by the hotel.
We loved the interior and exterior design of the hotel and were happy to be out of the city centre with a frequent travel service to both Copenhagen and its airport.

Room Tip: This hotel has over 800 rooms and most have an excellent city view. There are no other buildings or...

Ideally located just out of the city and minutes from the metro. Good rooms and if reading the website you'd think you were onto a winner... Sadly though the staff displayed typically Danish disinterested attitudes, especially 'Theo' who was in fact English (poor show). Sky Bar was closed for a private function when we were there and other eating places in the hotel were either full or serving a restricted menu. It was pretty obvious that we were less important to them than the 'Dodo and the Dildos' concert that was on in the Sky Bar... Much heralded spa in fact costs 150DKK extra per day. Probably wont be back there but really only due to the poor customer service. Danish take note!

We liked the the modern design and architecture.
It was also about 10 mins walk from a large shopping centre which was really convenient.
Breakfast was good, many choices of fruits, cereal, meat, cheese....

My only complaint was that most of the restaurants in the hotel are really expensive, ex. about 400DKK for a steak meal.
The hotel was a little outside of the main city area but it was only about 20 mins away by public transport, which wasn't a big problem.

Room Tip: The danish pastries at breakfast was amazing!

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for our Easter break.Very nice and unusual architecture.Clean and comfortable rooms.English speaking staff who were slightly reserved ie were helpful but not very proactive and friendly. You can hear music/news in the shower room via the tv. For a 4 star hotel, expected complimentary bottled water. No bath in any of the rooms and shower room had frosted glass so privacy slightly compromised. There was only a small hook to place clothes in the shower room and that too not in a convenient place.Reasonably good selection for breakfast. The hotel is 10 minutes drive from the airport ;15 mins metro ride and 20 mins bus ride to the city centre.Drinks in Sky Bar on 23rd floor a bit too expensive. All in all an enjoyable hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors and those facing the city have good views.

Really nice architecture, especially the quality materials used in the rooms. Just experience the fittings and details in the bathroom. Everything is very well thought through.
The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is very good with good choice. Only the juices taste like they are form the lower price range.

Some rooms are facing directly into the opposing tower but we were able to change. All the other rooms have fantastic views!

The presence of the conference centre makes orientation in the first floor rather difficult. In the evening, the direct access to the restaurant in the first floor is closed and the way around is difficult to find.

Our stay would have been perfect, if the room service would have been, well, at service.
To start with, the room service didn't answer the telephone. So I had to go down and order at the restaurant. From the reception desk there, they checked and the room service still didn't answer. Half an hour later, I had to return and pick up a huge service tray with four plates and carry to our room myself. This would have been acceptable if someone would have picked up the tray afterwards. The call buttons might not work, but there should be a systematic check through the whole hotel after ca. 11 PM. I decided to put the tray outside the room in front og the door. The next morning at 8.30 AM, the tray with the dirty dishes was still there. This is not acceptable in a modern hotel. I'm not worried for the cockroaches yet because it's quite new, but it's just bad management.

Room Tip: The higher the better. The further out to the corners the better.

Thank you very much for your thorough review, it is much appreciated. The direct access on the first floor between tower 1 and 2 are not usually closed, but it may have been because of an event. We will look into the signposting between the towers. We will definitely also look into what happened with our room service and housekeeping during your stay. The appropriate managers have been informed. We will look forward to to your next visit to Copenhagen.

Well, it is new, clean and spacious. Wooden floors in the room is a plus, easier to breath. Little coffee pot, a plus. Mine was dirty though, sombd before me warm up a cup of milk. Tea bags and coffee pouches were not replaced. Room was missing little details that make your stay comfortable. No plug on the desk, you expected to climb under and search for it. No plug in the bathroom. The only hook in the bathroom is tiny and in an awkward place, useless. Bathroom handle is long and sharp, hurt myself pretty bad a couple of times. Well, I am clumsy.
One more thing. When I arrived the only room that was available without waiting was a room "with a view" for approximate $30 more. Unless you are desperate as I was, don't get. There isn't much to look at.
There is a nice view from a bar, but choices of drinks are limited. Grill downstairs has edable food, came handy in the time of need, as downtown restaraunt a quite a hike.
Let me finish with a plus. This hotel is really close to the airport.

Thank you for your review. There are wooden floors in all rooms of tower 1 and all rooms of tower 2 are with carpets. The hotel is only a short walk and 10 minutes in metro from the downtown restaurants.
