“Castle & crown jewels”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Set in a beautiful park, this castle is well worth a visit. The changing of the guard takes place here every day between this castle & Amelianborg. The royal jewels and crowns are well worth a visit as well. Recommended.

“Beautiful Castle and Gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

The castle is an easy walk from central Stockholm. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the crown Jewell display in the basement is spectacular. A good glimpse into the life of the Swedish Royals in a manageable setting. The castle is "homey" in a way and does not overwhelm the senses like some other similar sites in Europe. This would be a good castle visit for families with young children.

“Worthwhile visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

The castle and treasury is definitely worth a visit. There are many items to view but you need to hire or buy a small book to give you the history and general information. The guides in the rooms speak excellent English and are happy to talk about the history of the place. Just outside is the Kings garden which is lovely to stroll through. Good time to go would be sring or summer.

“A beautiful peaceful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

Rosenborg Castle is located on beautiful park grounds that you definitely need to explore and enjoy when finished with the castle interior. Though the castle rooms are interesting and provide a nice history lesson, I enjoyed the treasures that lay below.
In the basement are the Royal crown jewels that are unbelievable. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to discover all the treasures in the basement. I actually enjoyed this section of the castle the best.

“Interesting sights”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

The garden was lovely and so was the Treasury with some very interesting crowns and jewelry. If you have the Copenhagen Card, it is worth making some time for it (the actual Castle closes earlier than the Treasury so take this into consideration).
