“Modest Palace with Close Up Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

With almost 6000 artifacts and the majority that you can get right up close to this was an amazing palace. It was not very busy so if you are the type that likes to go slow and really study pieces you could. It was missing tour guides, though. Which is a shame because the palace and the pieces on display, including the crown jewels, are amazing.

“Excellent, well preserved castle. A Copenhagen highlight.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Really enjoyed roaming this castle with 3 floors and a treasury. There is a helpful smartphone guided tour (there is free wi-fi throughout the castle), so make sure you do to leave your phone in the required free lockers. Treasury had a great collection. Check out the Mirror Closet and its interesting "uses." This sight should be a must-see on your tour through Copenhagen.

“Incredible City Castle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Has an incredible amount to see within. Pay the extra amount to see the Treasury and Crown Jewels. Take your time in the gardens and people watch.

“Definite stop if you have limited time in Copenhagen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

This castle includes a nice variety of early Danish history including the crown jewels. Plus if you are walking from the city center, you walk through a nice park. We did not purchase a guide explaining the exhibits. In hindsight, I do recommend this.

“Wonderful Crown Jewels”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

The castle is open to the public for tours and houses a museum exhibiting the Royal Collections. Of special interest to tourists is an exhibition of the Crown Jewels and the Danish Crown Regalia located in the castle.
